Default Question about SU Dies and Cuttlebug

I sure hope someone can walk me through this because I just can't figure it out!! I just got a die from SU. It's a long one and it is 6" across just like the cuttlebug and appears to be the same in every way as my Sizzix dies that I have. I put a B plate then the die then the paper then the other B plate and....nothing. It won't fit. So...I tried to make do with a stack of paper. Nothing, not tight enough. So then I took 2 of those gasket things that you use for Spellbinders and it went through fine only just scored on the score lines, did not cut. I have the guide that says that I am using the right sandwich...how come it's not cutting? I even watched a video and I am pretty sure I am doing the same thing. I need help  Any takers? Anyone? Bueller?

HA! I got it Had to watch a different video and this lady gave me the tip that I did not get at first! If anyone else wants this info, here it is: You have to put your plates just over the tip of the die, so that they create a little "ledge" I guess you could call it. That way the Cuttlebug can sort of grab them and pull them through. I am not nearly as good at explaining it as Odonata Creations was! Here is a link to her video

Thanks for this... I just got a XL Bigz die and was a bit confused about the sandwich... It helped me a lot. Plus following your link I also found other videos that were very helpful.
