I think it is fine to do that. Especially if you are doing it for some sort of selfless reason. I know you do card ministries at your church and reusing the cards that you get would be a great easy way to get more cards for your time.

Hi hotwheels,
I don't think it's wrong to use parts of a card or maybe the front again. I know that other gals do this. Just don't stamp on it Handmade by Linda.
I don't re-use cards because I like to make my own. So rather than using them over again, I usually will send extras from swaps or RAKs to one of the Splitcoast members who need cards for an Armed Services unit or for a nursing home.
Hi!
I do this all the time. I'm on several groups and do a lot of swapping and such. If the card is re-usable I slip out the note, add my own note and send it away. Not for swaps, usually as a thinking of you card for the card ministry I'm part of, and I leave the persons name on the back of the card.
If I'm taking the card apart to use the images or layers differently, I just remount and send the remade card out. I don't claim that I made the card, and I do write recycled on the back of the card.
Sort of play off the recycle, reuse, reduce theme and let people know that even with crafts you can do the 3 r's.
If I have the stamps, or know that I'd like to recreate the card I scan it into my computer and save the file. Then I recycle the card. I consider that the best of both words, recycling the card, reducing storage issues at my house and I can reuse the idea later.
I line the reduce, reuse, recycle! Cute -
I know a lot of people send cards to the troops and do card ministries and do this sort of thing so they can send a bunch of cards in time. I think it is a great idea and a complement to the person who originally made the card.
In this day and age - everyone is looking for ways to reuse and recycle everything. I like to send cards for that purpose - I don't write on the inside so they may use it.
I use the cardfronts for my soldier cards all the time (thanks to all the special ladies who send them to me) I do stamp on the back "handstamped" or original but never my name. I do not take credit but want people to know it is handmade.
Several members of my family stamp, so when an invitation is sent for a party, shower, etc., it has become a tradition to incorporate all or part of the original invitation in the gift/birthday card you take to the party. It's fun to see how everyone reuses the original.

Neat idea! And fun!
Hotwheels: I don't think it's wrong at all. I have used ATCs to convert to "full sized" cards. I turn cardfronts that I don't need anymore in to full cards and give them to friends and use as teacher gifts.
