Question Questions about buying used stamps and remounting

Have yu ever bought a used set of stamps and wanted to remount them just because they weren't centered?

If so can it be done and what's the best process to do this?

i maybe anal but I like mine centered so when I stamp, I press down evenly and get an even image and it doesn't rock. It drives me nuts when I buy some and they were either haphazardly slapped down and mountedd, or mounted over to one corner (and I know some like this, but not me, and I don't flame them).

Thanks!

Try putting the stamp in your microwave for 8 - 10 seconds. Then you can peel the stamp off and reposition. I have done this several times. Good Luck.

I have done the microwave thing with many stamps. It works great! There may be some adhesive residue left behind that may bug you, but I have been able to scrape it away with my fingernail in the past. Well, enough to please me anyway! Smaller stamps take less time than big ones. If it's not coming off with a slow steady tug put it back in the micro for 5 more sec untill it comes off easy. I've moved stickers when doing this too! Good luck!
