Default Really Excited-Storage Idea/Solution

I decided to unmount the stampin up wheels that I have... (at the time of this decision I only had 2) ..I now have 4 wheels... So I wasnt sure what to do with the wheels once i had unmounted them and had them on EzMount... Well with the new celebration order I just got I got 8 empty stamp cases as well as the 4 unmounted sets I ordered. I found out that each stamp case will hold 2 jumbo wheels unmounted and about 4 normal size wheels... I will just label the case with which wheels are inside and voila... storage for wheels is solved. I am also so loving these unmounted sets from SU.... Just have to pop out the stamps ... put them in the case and put them on my CD/DVD Stand. I plan to use the stickers that come with the cling stamps to use in my stamp book that shows all the sets I have. I dont want or need to put the sticker on my stamps.

Very happy girl tonight.

Hugs

So you're saying that 4 regular wheels unmounted will fit in one case while two jumbos will fit in another? I currently have them all in the wheels cases. Boy I would need a ton of these cases. LOL

Can you measure a case for me and give me the dimensions please? I don't store nor own any of these plastic dvd cases, tis why I am asking. LOL

Okay another question...do you think if I unmount mine, using Tack it over and over on them I'd be able to layer 2 on top of each other adhering to each side of the plastic case and the case still close?

How do you unmount the wheels? In the microwave first?

I have unmounted some of mine, and they just peeled right off. Start at the seam and gently start peeling. I've never had to use the microwave, but I am sure that would work if you have a very sticky one.

I've been on the fence bout unmounting my wheels. Yes super easy to unmount I did one that was SUPER SUPER old. BUT and it is a BIG BUT the reason I am on the fence is well I still like the ability to "roll" a bag or tissue paper.. if you have unmounted those then how would you do a gift bag set?

Its 5" wide by 7" tall.. Stampin up has them 4 for 4.95. They are their new storage option for cling stamps.

Yes if you are not using cling you could put 2 on each side or 4 on each side.

No... I run a hobby knife down the seam (on all wheels there is a seam where they come together) and then just pull up... they usually just pull right off the wheel.

I would just use a stampa majig to line it up again. I never did get the hang of rolling a wheel right.

Stamp positioner. Takes a bit of practice, but can be done .

franb63 -- you can unmount your wheels, but have it both ways... Just save a single wheel and handle and use a temporary adhesive on either the wheel or on the unmounted stamps to remount on the wheel when you wish to use them in that way. I use TIOO on the unmounted rubber so I can mount the stamp back on the single saved wheel or on an acrylic block.

I unmounted about 100 wheels...I just used a craft knife to cut at the seam and they easily peel off of the roller. I recycled all the rollers. I keep all mine in the large size stamp and store boxes from SU. blessings,

Fabulous idea!! Wow-- what a great tip! Thank you so much!

One question.. are the cases that SU now sells the same dimensions as a regular jewel DVD case?

OMG! Thanks...I was really on the fence about the wheels. I'm so going to unmount them now. Thanks for sharing the idea of using them both ways!!!!

How did you recycle the rollers? I threw mine away because I didn't see an recycle symbols on them.
