Not a really stupid question, mine would be more so : What in the world is maribou? :? Is is the same as the feather type boa stuff? I've seen that type of stuff at Michael's.
Thank you, thank you, thank you. I will look at Michael's. I always thought tit was just called a boa until I saw it as mirabou on this site. My daughter has a purple one in her dress up stuff, but the feathers are huge.
The Dollar Tree by me had them at Christmas. Pink, purple, blues. They were pretty nice considering. I didn't know what to do with them. Must buy eveything.
At Mikes they are $4.99 for about 7 feet. Joannes hasthem too. Didn't price them there.
Both marabou and the regular feather boas at Michael's aren't a bad price when you use the 40% off coupon! Also, you can get them at Oriental Trading Company - the full size aren't such a good deal, but they have a 1-yard assortment good for crafts that would be awesome for purses! It's $7.95 a set for 10 one yard pieces in assorted colors. I tried to post a link, but it was waaaay long! If you do a search on their site for marabou, the item is on page 3.
Be sure to post your results! Those purses are darling!
When I think of maribou, what always pops up in my mind are those high-heeled 'slippers' you always see Hollywood starlets wearing in old movies with their 'nightgowns'.....
