Default Really stupid swap question...

OK, I've done my 26 6x6 pages for my very first swap and I'm ready to mail them out. I know I'm supposed to enclose an envelope with return postage so I can get my set back but what I don't know is how to do this. Do I just go to the PO and ask for one of those postage stickers or do I just put a bunch of stamps on the envelope? I'm tired and I just had my highlights touched up so I'm especially dizzy this evening!!

Thanks!!
Katy

I've heard several stories about people buying the postage stickers to include with their swaps, and then having them denied by the post office later when the hostess tried to use them because the stickers were only good for the day of purchase. I think you should include regular stamps just to be safe!

Pack them up, but DON'T SEAL the package. If you do not know NOW how much the postage is to send your package to the swap host, then go down and get the proper postage for your box that you're going to send, then request the same postage in stamps so you can insert it into the box. THEN seal the box and send it off.

Usually, to make things easier, nowadays, all swaps are sent Priority Mail, but I do not know the particulars of your swap's rules . . .

I was concerned about the postage expiring. Thanks, girls, for the advice!

Did you know that the post office has a $3.85 stamp? You can buy those and send up to a pound using priority mail. Plus they don't expire. Pretty cool.

Katy,
I know here where I work, the mailroom can print aa postage label without a date. I'm not sure though if the post office does that. It wouldn't hurt to ask if they could. Good luck!
