Question Removing rubber from wood block??

I received a whole bunch (8 sets) of stamps from a customer that is "retiring" from stamping (how sad). They are all in the new SU! catty so are of great use to me as a new demo. However they are not cut and stuck on the wood blocks they wy they come from the factory. Is there an easy way to remove them cut them and reattach? Thanks for the help!

If you put the stamp in the microwave for 5-10 seconds you will be able to remove the stamp from the wood, fix it then put it back on.

I agree that using the microwave is the simplest way to get the cushion off the block. If you need to do some trimming of the rubber & cushion, try backing it with some wax paper before you cut. Makes it easier to handle while cutting, in my experience. Not a fun job -- good luck with it!

Happy trails....

Exclamation Just another word of caution!

Protect your hands with oven mitts or something when you grab the wooden block--they can get very hot. Ask me how I know . . .
