Default Ribbon storage

I used photo boxes from a craft store that you can usually find on sale for $1.99 ea. I drilled holes and hot glued large eyelet/grommets in and then thread the ribbon through. I'm still trying to find the best way to secure the ribbon rolls on the inside to allow for changing out empty spools. I think I may just go with a dowel cut to length the slides down into notches made on the inside of each end. It works great though and I like having it on display so I can hold up a project and match the ribbon up if I want. In the picture You'll see the purple ribbon boxes in the window. My scraps are in a tall vase beside the shelf in the window. I just throw them all in there and before cutting a new strip I look there first.

check out my web shots to see what I've done with my spools of ribbon. My room pretty small, so I need to use every bit of space I'm given! I'm creative if anything

I put mine on a wire hanger and it makes it easy to see what i have and then i am able to use what i need, and i don't have all my ribbon scattered everywhere.

I just ordered one of these for my ribbon storage. A friend of mine has one and they work great. I can't wait to get it. They are very versatile and hold a lot of spools of ribbon and go with my "plastic container" motif ;-)

Default punch holder?

Where did you get that punch storage that was hanging and looked like a shoe storage (over the door) holder?

These are great ideas. I am going to do use the wire hanger for now I think. I have a big closet I can use, so for now that seems to be the best way to go.
