Default Rubbing Alcohol question

Does anyone know if you take a cotton ball that has rubbing alcohol on it and press it to your ink pad to lift up color, will it hurt your ink pad? I'm in love with the polished stone technique and want to experiement with all the colors, but don't have the money for all of the reinkers.

Press the pad against the lid. You'll get a little pool of ink you can use instead of reinkers. And to answer your question--I don't know if it will hurt your pads.

Yes it will -Not necessarily ruin it bt I did this a few weeks ago because I had no reinkers and it left a kind of bleach stain effect on the pad -

Good idea about doing the ink on the lid -TFS that info !!!!
