I think I put this in the incorrect forum at first. Had to delete the first one. I'm still trying to learn the particulars of the forums.
Anyway, I have a quick question for owners of the RubiCoil. I've made several "practice" books since getting my Rubi. Can someone please tell me if I'm:
being unrealistic (did I really think it would do EVERYTHING perfectly)
being stupid (and I just don't know the ins & outs of the thing yet)
being anal (enough said)
Everytime I want to make a journal that isn't either 8 1/2" wide or 11" wide (the two measurements on the left-hand side of the machine), I either get 1/2 a hole, or a part of a hole, or a big space on the left side and a space that isn't the same size on the right side of the paper.
Am I being clear???
Any help would be fantastic... and yes, you can pick either 1, 2, or 3. I promise I won't get offended.
When I make a small book, I use the little dots on the machine as my guide. They show you where the punches are placed. Then I move that little thing on the left side and tighten it where I know the holes will be placed properly. I am not sure if that makes any sense.....but that's how I do it. LOL
I do the same as dolly5j...the thingie is adjustable for that reason, so you can nudge your paper stack to get evenly placed holes. If you simply cannot get a whole hole at both ends, you may just need to trim a smidge off. Sorry for all the technical jargon......<G>
