I just received my Sale-a-bration catty, and I am so disappointed. First of all, didn't we used to have 6 or more sets in the SAB catty? There are only 4 in this one. While I enjoy seeing "recipes" for making cards, they have used a lot of space in the catty for this purpose. I am also confused: in two of the sets it states that if you buy, for instance, the punches (and I assume they mean all of them), you get the Polka Dot Punch set "free". It was my impression that if you spent $50 you would get a set for free. They are also showing items such as Top Note Big Shot Bigz Die, Crafters' Tool Kit, etc. Now are these being offered as SAB items, too? What am I missing here?
The products you listed are not SAB items. The catalog is just suggesting that if you bought those items (that coordinate with the SAB stamp set) your total would be enough (over $50) to get the stamp set for free. But --as always--you can purchase ANY products that total $50 or more and choose an SAB item for free.

They also have 12 x 12 paper and a ribbon set on the SAB this year! I know I can always use more paper & ribbon!!
The sale-a-bration bonus products this year consist of 4 different stanp sets, 1 ribbbon assortment and 1 designer paper assortment. In the past we've had 5 stamp sets and another product such as a simply scrappin' kit or rub-ons. The great thing about having consumable choices for sale-a-bration is that those people who earn more than 6 SAB bonuses can get consumable products they can use instead of duplicates of stam sets they already earned.
Personally I love this year's SAB designer paper and ribbons and I'm really glad those are being offered in addition to the 4 different stamp sets.
I wasn't really impressed with the paper or the ribbon until I saw them in real life. I do not like pastels but after seeing these items in person, I realized I can be persuaded ~ I loved both of them!
What I don't understand is the ribbon package. I love the idea of having ribbon in the SAB catalog, but why did they choose Certainly Celery for one of the colors? I can buy that any day of the week in the catalog. I thought the point was to give us something we couldn't buy normally.

Ah well the Certainly Celery ribbon in the SAB catalog is polytwill - that is not in the catalog and nor is the So Saffron 5/8" grosgrain so they are both brand new - I cant wait to get hold of them :-)

Ah, well this is what comes of my only having a digital version of the catalog - I didn't even notice that! It makes so much more sense now!
