I don't have one of these but I've read different posts on them and I am considering one. The are on sale @ http://www.wilde-ideas.com/Vndrs/PPfm/Scor-it.html
Hope this helps if you were on the fence. Christine
A stop guide is a little piece that attaches onto the unit so that when you're moving a blade (in this case, a scoring one), you can only go so far and no further than you want to by accident. If you watch what your doing and pre-mark what your scoring, you shouldn't need one.
Love mine, got it from marcopaper.com, it came with the guide. I use the guide when I am scoring lots of things at the same size (mainly when doing lots of cards or when doing lots of 3 x 3 cards). You will love it!

The nice thing about the scor-it, one the blade is metal that you are scoring onto, so no plastic to get warped or move around when scoring, two, the blade score, it doesn't cut through your paper like the fiskars brand can. I hated using a thin sheet of card stock, or paper and having the scoring blade cut through the paper. I love using it for doing the grid technique, as shown on this card: RIW Grid

Wilde Ideas is have a 20% off sale until the 20th....use the code 2020. They also have $4.99 shipping for orders over $50.
I was on the fence for a long time about this thing. I thought that since I folded my cards for 20 years that I couldn't possibly need this. BUT, now that I have it, I just wouldn't do without it. I had a scoring blade and it does NOT score as deep and well as the Scor-It. You can also decorate with the scoring and making boxes with it is a whiz.
I do use mine ALL the time!

I've never heard of this company. Has anyone ordered from them before? Any positives OR negatives? ~ thanks.
I've purchased from them several times and had good shipping times both times. The second order (since they were having a sale) had backordered items. It took about three weeks but I did get my backordered items. I've talked to other people who have said that sometimes BO items ended up getting canceled. I've also heard others who don't like them.
I personally have had great service from them.
