As a "one-time-only" event, SU brought back a retired set each months March through December of 2003 in honor of their 15th anniversary. I wouldn't expect anything like that to happen again, at least not until 20 or 25 years! And even then-- most of the sets they brought back were from the last 2-3 years' catalogs, and one was from the Spring 2003 mini!
I have a thread going in Demo chit-chat trying to save Paisley also!! Its a Send Shelli (the owner) a Paisley card and beg not to retire it campaign!!!
[QUOTE=Lorstamps]Yes, and maybe they won't notice that I'm not doing "real" work - I'm on SCS!!!
So glad to hear I am not the only one lurking here while on the 'clock'!
And sending Save Paisley emails from my work email...maybe they'll think we have Corporate support!
Does anybody know how the "send card as email" feature works? (I've never tried it.) Can card(s) be sent to people who aren't registered users? Since I don't yet own paisley (it's on my MUST ORDER THIS STAMP VERY SOON list) and therefore I can't MAKE a card to send to her, I thought maybe I could go into the paisley gallery, pick a nice card, and send that one to Shelli (via email) with a nice note pleading clemency for paisley in it. Would this work? Linda

This is a copy of the e-mail I received in answer to my message:
Dear Elaine,
Thank you for contacting us regarding the retiring Paisley Print background stamp. We appreciate your desire to keep Paisley Print around a little longer and are so pleased that you have a love for this particular stamp. Please know that we have passed your request on to the appropriate department for consideration, however we cannot guarantee that it will be available in the future. Thank you again for your e-mail. Thank you again for contacting us. Please feel free to contact us again if you have any further questions. Have a wonderful day!
Sincerely,

I think it is because Paisley wasn't a popular stamp until the DD gallery came out then EVERYONE had to have one. I dont' even feel the need to have one yet. I figure there will be plenty of other stamps that I will fall in love with that I can demo.
I will bet that if you ask them it wasn't a popular stamp until the last couple of months. I think a stamp set has to be "popular" throughout the entire catalog period to stay. Just my thought
I still think we should 'flood' them with emails. I doubt if it's too late. (I like the happy little world I live in). It's worth a try anyway. I just sent my email asking for the the perfectly persuasively positively powerful passionate Paisley Print to stay! Everyone join in!
OK I posted my email and also BEGGED them to come to England!! LOL thought I might as well do that whilst I was there. No doubt I will get a standard response from them with regards to them having no plans at present.. blah blah blah
cazx
don't dispair....we sent lots of requests to come to Canada and finally they came...keep the faith! LOL!
Oh, I also emailed SU...even though I have the Paisley....and am not a demo...I really would love to see more creations using it!
