Do you scan the cards you post, or take a pic and upload it? Which do you think is better? I've noticed my scans never seem to do the cards "justice" so I usually don't post them.
I am not sure if this is the difference or not, but ever since I started taking digitals of my cards I seem to get more comments on them. I agree with Jeanne S. in the fact that it really seems like it gives your cards more depth!

(okay, I know I made up that word...but it fits so nice in the song lyrics...teehee!)
I always take a digital pic of mine. I think the colors are more true to life. Try to use as much natural light as possible. Many use some coordinating cardstock as a backdrop to really show off your project. I never think about this until I am upstairs to take my pic and am too lazy to go back down and get some cs. I am no expert by any means, I just enjoy uploading my work.
I just started playing around with photographing my cards just yesterday. My scanner is 10 years old and doesn't do the cards justice. My husband and I broke down and bought a Cannon Digital Rebel XT, and it takes wonderful pictures, so why not use it for my cards too instead of just the kids.
I read a blog that focused on photographing your cards. I don't remember the link, but it had a lot of useful information. The lady was a photographer and a SU demo. It talked about light, backdrop and setting up your picture. If I stumble across it again I'll share, or maybe someone else knows where it is.
Since I don't have a scanner, all I've ever done is take photos. I had wanted to get a scanner because I thought it'd be easier to post here (not that I have many in my gallary anyway), but now that I've read posts here I won't bother! :P

I no longer have a scanner - I gave it to my upline! I always take pictures of my cards. If you want, you can check out my blog. I did a quick tutorial for the ladies on another website that I participate in!

in the past I scanned my cards, but the colors always turned out goofy. (especially Gable Green). But since I finally got a digital camera I opt to take pictures of what I share. I think the colors turn out better now
My New Years Resolution was to take pictures of my cards and not scan them, though I find scanning them much easier and less time consuming. I read somewhere that if you take the time to create a beautiful card, you might as well take the time to create a lovely photo of it so people can really appreciate your work. I think that rang true for me. I do still scan the cards that I don't post to SCS. These are ones that are cased from SCS or from the catty or what have you. I still want a record of them, but I don't need them *picture perfect*.
