Default Scissor Sharping...

Does any one have a place we can mail or scissors to have them sharpened?

I know JoAnn's and some Fabric Stores do it, but I do not have access to these and need a mail source if possible...

TIA for your help!

I give mine to my hairdresser when she takes her shears in for sharpening. I get really sharp scissors back and don't have to worry about them getting lost or anything. For what it's worth.

KPHORSE.....Why not just sharpen them yourself? It's certainly not a difficult thing to do. Just remember to do each side of the blades evenly.

By the time you would pack them up and pay the shipping both ways, would it really be worth it? To me it wouldn't.

Just my opinion.

Thanks Karrie...I'll ask the salon that cuts my hair or the beauty supply store!

I have tried all the at things to sharpen scissors and none have ever done a good job and my scissors have some personal value to me, my Best Friend that gave them to me, past away this last May and I want them perfect...

I haven't had any luck sharpening mine, either...they are the good Kai ones, don't know if that makes a difference

But I did find someone who did it online for $5, which is less than JoAnn's charges...I just forget who it was, sorry! I think I just googled it and found a review of someone who was reliable...

Search these forums. I do remember a while back that some man in on of the Carolinas sharpens them for around $3 bucks or something!! He's highly thought of on here, but I can't remember now where I read it. Maybe you can search it here?

A lot of people have used Circustamps for their sharpening needs. I personally have never used him, but I have heard nothing but good things about his service.
