Hi! I have spent hours looking for a Christmas card I saw in the last week or so, to no avail. Please, someone help me find it!!!
The card had a bookmark incorporated into the design on the front. The maker had made a really nifty pocket for the bookmark using the scallop border punch. She had punched the border punch one time at the top of a rectangle piece of cs and then left the outer edges unpunched. This punched piece was then attached to the left side of the card front and a bookmark was slipped into the opening created by the scallop border. If I recall correctly, the bookmark had the Nativity Scene stamped on the part that was at the top and the sentiment was stamped on the part that would go into the pocket.
Does this card sound familiar to anyone? I'm hoping one of the SCS Slueths will help me in the search for this really interesting card. I have great confidence in your abilities! :-D
I guess since you found it, I won't be needing to send you the link for the card. ;) Don't you think it's a wonderfully creative way to send a bookmark and that it might be a fun way to send photos with a Christmas card?
Man I have been looking for an hour! I did not go back that far but it sure looks like what she described..Good Job Edith!
Thanks for your effort, Linda, I appreciate it. I guess since I SAW it in the last couple of weeks doesn't mean that it was posted in that time period. I must have been following some thumbnails that looked interesting as I was surfing the gallery. Now I'm curious how Edith tracked it down.

yeah, well, it didn't take me very long (this time) ... I used the "search" in the gallery and typed in "christmas bookmark".... and with boss' wonderfully accurate description I thought it just must be the one she was thinking of ....
Thanks for asking for this, it is a very clever idea. I like to send a couple of dollars to my grandkids for the different holidays throughout the year. So I am always on the lookout for ideas for pockets so the money isn't just sitting there in the card.
What a great idea to use the scallop pocket for money! Thanks for sharing the idea, this would be a fun way to combine a card & money for my hairdresser and newspaper guy.
