I just got my black Stampin' Up ink pad. When I opened it, the top layer is peeling off (like about a 1 inch by 3 inch section). I am planning on contacting my demo to get a new one, I just wanted to make sure this is a defect before I contacted her. (She can be a bit snotty at times)

[QUOTE=momis mama;6806012]i'd be looking for a new demo!
She and another lady host stamp classes once a month and they are the only two in the area. Sad, huh?
My scrapbooking/stamping friends are getting pretty tired of them. It takes an act of Congress to get our stuff once it comes in.

Well, with the ink pad special going on right now this would be a good time to jump in and become a demonstrator!
And if that much of the inkpad is coming off I would definitely contact SU for a replacement. They are absolutely terrific about that sort of thing.

I would find a new demo (or a demo here on SCS) and you or one of your friends should sign up to be a demo. There is a great promo going on right now where you get a complete color family of classic pads for free for signing up! Sounds like you could break off into your own group especially if everyone is getting sick of the current demo in your town!

I kept my SU lady from California for 7 years after I moved back to Washington.
My CTMH Demo I met here on SCS and She's in Florida.
Find a good demo. It doesn't matter where she lives, so long as she treats you right!

sounds kinda like the first demo i had...
she would have MY party orders sent to her house (kinda hokey if you ask me)
i vote to become a demo yourself! ha- my demo just offered me to take over her business... don't know if i could do it justice! i've always just been an addict! you know what i mean!
I agree with everyone. My SU demo I know from here, she's great. There is a lady in town but I don't actually know her myself, I like using my online demo just fine.
Also the pad is defective, but it will probably stamp just fine, I have a pad that is like that and it's fine. Course mine got that way over time so it's different. But you shouldn't have to accept a defective pad. My point is just that if you just really want to avoid your demo I'm sure the pad does work.

Yes, that is defective. Snotty I just wouldn't deal with. Period.
Getting your stuff to you should be top priority. Before I was a demo, I had one who sometimes left my stuff in her car. One set was ruined. The bottom line is that you should have your order sent directly to you if she has a problem!
