Default Which sets do you think will retire?

I tried searching for another thread on this topic, but no luck.

Which sets do you think will be retired?

Sara, there's a thread in this Forum called "Don't Go" about what stamp sets would you be sad to see retire!

I think Pines will retire, because that's been around since 1997 or 1998! I'm HOPING Lovely as a Tree doesn't retire. I love Terrific Tulips, but that's been around a long time too. I've only been a demo less than a year, so I'm not the best person to ask!

I think Charming Children and Heads Up and Marvelous Moos will retire.

I know I'm asking an anal question here but, since 5/1 is a Sunday, will the list actually be released on Sunday or will we need to wait (egads!) until Monday??!! Keep in mind, I am not a demo and will of course be relying on you lovely ladies and/or one of my demos to provide me with this info so I need to prepare my impatient little mind for how long I will have to wait!;)

Thanks!

Cathy, the retired list of SU stamps will be posted on the demonstrator web site on Sunday, May 1. I'm sure one of us demos will post it where all of you customers can see it.

Red face Discontinue...PLEASE!!

I'm hoping both 'Canine Capers' and 'Purrfect' go. I haven't cared for them since day one. I like stamps like that to be more 'natural' looking. Not stiff.
For some reason, 'Rhyme Time' gives me the willies.....I think it's the egg.....ha ha ha.

My hope is that the "children of the corn" set retires (never can remember it's real name.) While I think the intention was a good one in response to requests for multicultural images and I apologize if anyone really likes that set but it has creeped me out since day one.

hahaha! That is really funny. "children of the corn". I think you mean "Charming Children". My DH says it is creepy, too! I will have to tell him that one.

I don't like that set -- it's not my style -- but I never thought of it as creepy. I won't miss it if it retires!

I'm pretty sure they will retire all the sets left on my wishlist, so that I will be forced to order them! ;)

I also am creeped out by the children of the corn set. Have called it that since I first saw it...

I agree with Charming Children and Many Moos.

how about Little Holiday Wishes and Little Somethings? Also Birthday Bunnies and Somebunny New....

I'm totally guessing here... I just looked for sets that seemed "dated" somehow... probably becuase they're just not my style.

I agree with almost all of the suggested sets. I'd add Something Marvelous, Puppy Love, Fintastic, Aquaria, Early Spring, Springtime Fun, Out of This World, Tea Time, Kid Cards, Little Engine, Favorite Friends, Jazzed Up, at least one of the two Wanda sets, Definitely Diner, Maternal Instincts, Good Times, Vertical Greetings, The Fine Print, Simple Wishes, Simple Seasons, Window on the World, Spring Party, True Love, Hearts and Clovers, Sweet Holidays... that's around twenty five sets. I'll be interested to see how many I get right! We'll know soon enough!

Happy Heart you make me sad :( . I don't want Favorite friends, Something Marvelous and Aquaria to go.

I want some of the super old ones out. Feathered Friends, Nice and Easy notes, Sketch it, Bitty Bold and Mini Medley, Simple Wishes, Mini Message, Quick and Cute, Hedgehog Happiness, Many Moos, Perfect Party, Sketch a Party, Smile and Accessories, Flower of the Month and frame, Announcements, most other baby sets, You warm my heart, Little Inspirations, Hang in there, A year in the country, a bunch of what Happy Heart mentioned, Vertigal greetings....

There are so many that need to go so we get wonderful, exciting new sets. Oh...and Petal Prints better be in there or I might have to call them daily and cry about it. LOL

I have been waiting and hoping that Announcements will finally retire!! I will be doing the happy dance for sure if it retires. Also, I think Roughing It might go.

Cheers,

Beate, I agree with you completely about Petal Prints! And More Petal Prints!

I'm hoping that it makes it in because it was soooo popular -- plus there's a matching wheel, I hope that means something. Not to mention Flower Factory (you can see I have a flower fetish here!)

Karen,

Me too. Flowers and Alphabets. I can't help it. I have to have them all. And I am all for Roughing it biting the dust!

LOL...I was basing my opinion on the fact that I see very few samples using these sets in the gallery. Are they popular sellers?
I will be amazed and dumbfounded if Petal Prints doesn't make into the catalog along with so many other great sets from all of this year's wonderful minis.

Mama K --

Re: hoping for the list to post Saturday/Sunday -- I had the same idea/wish/dream/hope but . . .alas . . . I suspect that we won't see it until Sunday morning after the SU website does it weekly update "thingie". I say that with no official (or unofficial) knowledge of diddly-squat -- it's just a hunch!

By the way -- I've never posted or replied to nothin' bout nothin' bout nothin' controversial (and won't start now) but I just want you to know that I've never had the impression that you had anything but the very best intentions . . . hugs to you and the sis!

I hope Aquaria doesn't retire. I have been looking at that set for months but can't make up my mind to buy it. I love turtles! If they come out with more turtles, then I guess they can retire Aquaria. But then I will have to buy it! Dangit.
