Lightbulb Sets I'd like to see in new Stampin' Up Catty

Hey Ladies,

I know you've been thinking about this, so do tell ... what new sets would you like to see in the 2008 Fall/Winter Stampin' Up catty?

I would like to see a new word similar to Sincere Saluations. The same script but some different words around the same price. For example, Happy Mother's Day, Happy Father's Day, Merry Christmas, Happy Birthday, With Sympathy and Happy Anniversay.

Also, it would be great to have another big set of many birthday verses.

What are your thoughts? ;)

So I'll take new background stamps because I can't get enough of them!

I'd like to see some new masculine sets, ones that aren't fishing, golf, or lighthouses!

Default What sets I'd like to see

I'd like to see more muted/soft stamps--not flowers but like the Provencal sets. Something along those lines. Dianne

Rock 'n roll type stuff. Skulls, guitars, etc. Sincerely doubt it, but I could make so much for my DH then!

More for little boys, too.

Oh yeah! That would be cool -- white craft ink on black c.s. -- possibilities are endless ...

Sculls are big with the Tween/Teen group right now. Not my fav but I think would sell well..

I'd like to see more brass templates or cuddlebug type folders!

I'd love to see more and more of the realistic flowers/scenes/scene-scapes etc..

Here's my wish list.

- really cute cat & dog sets with variety & accessories
- bring back the vintage section
- beautiful artistic sets for watercoloring
- useful sentiments in sets, not goofy ones I'll never use
- more masculine & teen sets
- lots of variety, not just circles, doodles & flowers
- single-sided designer paper

I would like some realistic cat sets. Not the ugly cartoony ones they have now. I, too, would like to see the skulls and whatnot. Masculine sets not related to sports. I'd really like a dorky computer set for my husband. They had one awhile back but it was rather girly, IMO.

How about something related to racing/NASCAR?

I'd also like a cute girly set of frogs!

Haven't gotten into that yet, but if they had more variety and maybe a light box that was less expensive ...

I would love to see more masculine sets that have real looking tractor trailers, cars, boats, fishing stuff not so kiddy looking.
I would like more real looking cat and dog sets.
I can draw the more cartoon stuff myself. I'm looking for stuff I can't draw.
I wonder if we could some how send this list to stampin up. I love their stuff but I have not been real happy with their designs lately. I have only bought 2 sets from them in the last 6 months. That is way down for me.

I would love to see some more sets like Always and Amazed (Is that the name?) All of the elements included in those two sets are so versatile and fun to use.

I would also love to see some more flower sets that I could layer with. Can't get enough flowers!!

since it is the winter catty, we should get some Christmas sets, and the one I've been waiting for is a nativity scene--One with seperate stamps for each character that would be good not for just cards, but all kinds of projects. i would love a good hot chocolate set. Besides that, I would just like some good, realistic images, and no more dotted circles!

Here's a copy of what I sent, so keep adding your thoughts ladies. Perhaps we'll see some of our ideas soon!!!

Hi there,

We have an interesting thread going on at www.splitcoaststampers.com I will put the link in. However, if you don't want to access it this way, try just going to the website and entering the "General Stamping Talk" forum. The thread where we are all adding info for you is called: "Sets I'd like to see in the new Stampin Up" Catty"

Forums at Splitcoaststampers

Thanks for everything,
Misty

Another realistic Western set, along the lines of Wild Wild West, maybe a cowgirl or barrel racer in it along with the guys.

realistic cats, realistic dogs.

Skulls would be most excellent!

realistic running stamps!! with maybe running shoes, stopwatch, race number/bib, male AND female runners, and a start/finish banner. And not cartoony or kids, but adults in the more realistic style like several of the other athletic sets the past few years. I would love to be able to scrap my racing memorabilia with running stamps, and send good luck running cards to friends that are prepping for some big races.

I'd like the more artistic stamps for watercoloring. When I got my first SU catalog recently, I was really disappointed. The stamps look all the same to me - highly stylized. Not too much of the kind of stuff I was looking for like the stamps used in a lot of cards posted on this site. I was very happy to get some sets off the retired list before they're gone for good.

A Mardi Gras set.
More masculine sets.
Police, Firefighters, Teachers.
Realistic animals - I'm tired of goofy-looking cats & dogs.
A nice (not cartoony) fish set.
Cafeteria sets - sentiments that you can buy the whole set or pick four out of six or eight or however many, for example.
Better teenage sets.
More women's sport sets - volleyball, tennis, track, gymnastics, dance, etc. (More men's sport sets, for that matter).
More mature sets - keep the cartoonish ones for the kids.
More sets one can color.
Get rid of the double-lined sets - I feel as if I've got double vision.

I'm sure I'll think of more.

What a great question!!! I collect nutcrackers and I haven't seen a single nutcracker set for Christmas since I've been buying catalogs (2001). I would also like:

-an accessory set/more sayings for A Little Birdie Told Me
-stamp sets to make outdoor scenes
-more theme sets. They used to have so many now it's all flowers or decoration. (like they do for dog, cat, fishing, but much more variety and options)
-more funny sayings
-accessory sets like brads, etc, that include each color in the color family instead of just a chosen few colors
-watercolor pencils that have the color name on each pencil

I realize that the new catty has probably already gone to the printer altho its fun to dream...........

And my dream would be a HORIZONTAL French Script. Where the block would be turned sideways.....not up and down the way it is now.....does that make sence??

I like classic, realistic looking images. Vintage designs of all sorts would be wonderful!

I absolutely agree with the above.

I'd also love to see something bookish that would be gender neutral, something that would work for the intellectual type person. Also, realistic bird stamps like chickadees, robins, sparrows...

And, please bring out watercolour pencils in SU colours!

Oh -- thought of another one, along the western theme. Another realistic horse set. Also another dancer set.

I was just looking for a new baby set to use for my May Stamp-A-Stack class b/c all of mine are retired. Do you realize they only TWO baby sets in the current catalog? I think we need a bit more of a selection!
