Where do you buy sheets of chipboard? Are there any websites with good prcies & good shipping prices? I looked at a few online but was wondering where youo all shop.

TFS!

Check out ebay. I've gotten 100 sheets of sturdy 12 by 12 chipboard for $30 including shipping. I've looked all over the internet and some of the ebay sellers have the best prices.

My friend who owns a store sends me the 12 x 12 chipboard from the packs of new paper they get in. Plus I use cereal boxes too. I adhere my paper to the chipboard with a Xyron machine. Then I diecut with my sizzix.

I have purchased packs of six 8 1/2 x 11 sheets of chipboard at ACMoore. Also, some art stores like Pearl sell it in large sheets, and they have multiple thicknesses available.

Cereal boxes are, of course, free. As are the cardboard backings of the DS paper packs.

You can use the backs of spiral notebooks and legal pads. I collect everyones used legal pads at work so they are free The legal pags are thicker, nicer chipboard while the spiral notebooks are thinner, not as nice, IMO.

Framing shops also sell and sometimes give away their matboard scraps. This is a nice thickness also.

I love that idea. Have a friend who owns a framing shop, so I'm going to check with her ASAP. Lots of different textures and colors are used (I know, I've paid for lots of framing).

 Waiting for my new cuttlebug to arrive

How in this world will you guys be able to cut chipboard into the shapes you want. Does SIZZIX really cut through the thinner board?

Several years ago I got mine at Hobby Lobby. It was with the tablets of Art Papers. I've also seen it at Michaels.

I've embossed the thinner chipboard pieces with my CB. Things like cereal boxes and the ultra thing coasters come out really nice.

What great ideas! I really need them for my preshcool class, and didn't want to have to order chipboard. Cereal boxes will definitely do the trick! I may check out Hobby Lobby too. I did see them at Dick Blick online for $0.53 each, which I thought was a decent price (but I am cluesless about their cost). You ladies rock!

TFS!!
