The Stamping Nazis have cut me off. They deleted a thread about demos, and are being extremely Pro SU. I think that is rotten...I love all stamps....what is their problem...I think they need to take a pill.

Please read the TOS. Any posts made to intentionally be inflamatory towards another individual or group are strictly prohibited.... Perhaps your thread fell under those guidelines?

Karen, the thread was just moved...I think we all need to simmer down and shut the computers off for the night!!

I moved your thread to the demo forums... I thought you were a demo. I don't understand your thread... and where you get your information about SU! demos and what is posted in the demo forums. Wow.... I don't get it at all. Most of the demo forums is full of support and love for each other and our businesses. Sure.. there are from time to time an argument or discussion where we all don't agree, but we are human.
Your thread is moved to general stampin, but please be respectful.
Thanks,
~Cambria
I think the demos are overly sensitive, overall since I have ever signed on to this site. If they would realize that it is THEIR JOB TO SELL, then, they would understand that they should not be offended. MOVE ON and SELL That SET....show examples, etc...
Sorry if you think "I AM RUDE". I think there are all-together too many flair ups, (dinner, goodie bags, etc),,,this is just so stupid I apologize but I can not stand it. Good luck with your sales,...this is obnoxious...
Sounds like many people need to take a break.;)
Karen-Cambria explained what happened and where your thread went. Nobody deleted it and to say we are Nazis is a bit over the top, don't you think? I am sure if you asked where your thread went you could have found out without getting upset or feeling like you were being censored, which was not the case.
If you feel like SCS is not a good place for you right now then it is always a good thing to take a break and come back when you feel like it is a positive place for you to be (general you, not you specifically;) ).

I did start a thread down in suggestions and it was deleted. Thanks for all the support. I can imagine how other people feel now. The TAC, etc...DONE...

actually it wasn't deleted. There were two threads you started that were merged. One was inadvertently moved to the demo forums, but was moved back. If you check your "subscribed threads" you will be able to find the merged threads... HTH.

One thread was inadvertantly moved to demo chit chat and moved back to general stamping when it was discovered hedgie isn't a demo. Hedgie in the meantime started another thread with the same theme in site suggestions, which wasn't the best choice for the subject matter, so that thread was moved as well. Since both threads by hedgie were about the same thing, they merged them.... (at least that was my observation, mods please correct me if I have it wrong.)

WELL, to get back on the original topic of this thread. I really like the Holiday Mini. People just need to realize that when a company comes out with a product that not EVERYONE will like it!! If everyone likes Coca Cola then what would happen to Pepsi?? But they don't. So as far as the Mini goes, thumbs up from ME!!!
Do not criticize if people do not like each and every thing.
Why is the competition so intense, that you do not want ot hear more, and then, maybe show more examples, prove that the set is spectacular???. Why are you all, so instantly angry.
I was reading this thread yesterday and I did not get a chance to post but when I just spent some of my time catching up this caught my eye.
I am a Independent Demonstrator. Which means, really I work for me. I am also a HOBBY demo - which means in reality, I stamp for me. So not all of us here - are here to WOW you, or WORK for YOU. My life as a demo is all about me and my enjoyment of stamping.
I come here to get WOWed by others who love it too. Not to find new customers who need wowing.
And I am not angry- just stating some of the other sides - of which there are many.
Get busy and show us why we should buy something from the mini?!
What is going on, that you are criticizing customers, for having an opinion?
Look at that, read into it, and do something with it!!
Trust me, no one is jealous.
And here is another reason why there are so many hobbiest demos. \
They are just mini catalogs - if you don't want something don't buy it. There's a huge yearlong catty with plenty of stuff in it. I would not want to be a demo who made you buy things you didn't want or need. I am not a magician - just a stamper who copies other people's works and loves sending homemade cards.
You may come back here later and see some samples and change your own mind about what you want. But I sure don't sit here and think how can I MAKE people buy this stuff - I don't know many demos who do either.
They are just mini catalogs - if you don't want something don't buy it.
Can't we just say we didn't find anything in the mini we cared for at the moment *without* having folks get defensive about it??????????????? Obviously if I don't like some product I will not buy it. I don't need advice in that regard, thank you very much. We are all entitled to share our opinions respectfully here, but I really don't see what the opinion quoted above is intended to achieve except further polarise this thread.
And annabelle, if you don't like squash or pantyhose, you don't have to buy them, you know!!!!!!
Wow, it was like reading a soup opera................I'm sure we're all here because we love to stamp and we love to see each others creations, but wow, I was blown away by some of the comments. Some of them even made me LOL.
At any rate....I'm in love with the ribbon and the ribbon holders.........I have been searching for something for many moons for my ribbon. Of course the Paper is always good, a girl can't have enough paper...........and there's a few sets that might have to be added into the mix........we'll see.........
Happy Stamping Everyone!!!!!!
I LOVE the new mini! There are quiet a few things there that I want. I'm deffinatly going to have to save a ton of money before my SU workshop in October!

I really love the paper and can't wait to get it in my hand so I can cut it all up and glue it to stuff. ;)
Oh, and I want that Halloween set just because it is icky. And spooky. And a little scary (are those eyes or flowers????????) and very Halloween-y. And spiders freak me out so I need that wheel, too.
The ribbon holders are awesome, but I have shoeboxes that were free and the budget is not unlimited, so they will have to do. Maybe I'll cover them with some new paper. More cutting and adhesive. Woo-Hoo!
Get busy and show us why we should buy something from the mini?!

I think you may have misunderstood. vrbolye was responding to hedgiemama's comment that I quoted above. I don't think she was getting defensive about the mini-catalog. She was getting defensive about being told to get busy. KWIM?

Of course you can say that - I was responding to:

What I read there was she was asking me/us to SHOW her why she should buy something from this new mini. And I was stating some of us are not the kind of demos who are bent on showing you why you should buy something you don't want/need.
Furthermore - why, when people don't like something must there be a thread about it to complain and go on and on about their disappointments and how there hasn't been anything people liked for a year etc etc (to paraphrase a few here) - especially when it's just a mini. (I do think threads on people disappointed with the entire catalog are beneficial - everyone can learn something there). Starting a thread like this one invites people with the opposite opinion to share their reasoning behind their point of view. So if people don't want to hear oppoisition, don't post.

Thanks - we were posting around the same time, just takes me longer to type. But what you said was what I meant!
just peeked at the mini - ok...not real thrilled with it...but there are a few that look fun...i like the fall set on the same page with the ribbon organizer....
the organizer looks fun...i have one that i "made" myself in my closet with a dowel rod...handy.

Well, I've looked through it 3 or 4 times now, I don't see anything I like. I'm not disappointed though. It's a mini. If I went through the main catalog and couldn't find anything- I'd call that a disappointment.
Actually- I like the stitched ribbon- but I won't be buying it. I have a ton of stitched ribbon I've gotten at Meijer. If SU had it last year I would have bought from them- SU has great ribbon prices. Too bad it's in the "In Color" I'm not getting those because I don't even have the main colors yet, and think it makes more sense to get the colors that will last me a long time before branching out.
There are a lot of neat sets that I won't get that I cannot wait to see samples for. Especially the Fiends sets- both of them- those are really cute, but I don't send halloween cards. Can't wait to see samples of those.
Furthermore - why, when people don't like something must there be a thread about it to complain and go on and on about their disappointments
For the same reason that there are threads that go on and on and on about how fantastic the white Signo pen is or how delightful the new colors are or about how excited people are about the ribbon holders. Why must THEY go on and on?
I say that people who want the postive threads but not the disappointed threads are not being realistic.
One of my demos sent us the download version of the new mini! Arggh. I was so hoping for a Christmas set that would be great this year. Oh, well. That is how it goes. Ribbon organizer is cool though. Have the rest of you seen it yet? Ask your demo as they can e-mail it to you.
Back to the OP... I had already decided I wasn't going to get anything from the Holiday Mini. I already have my Christmas cards planned. But then I saw that awesome designer paper. I HAVE to have it. I am going to redocorate my ZBB purse with it! The ribbon holders are attractive to me, too, but I just bought another craftlocker.

Thank you Consuelo, I sat and typed out and deleted probably 10 responses to that, but it never came out as tactful as yours did with the same information....

Happy threads are FUN. Disappointed ones are not. But that's too basic.
I know what you mean, really I do - but many people say they only like one or two things - and that's exactly what a mini is for - one or two things. No one should expect to be happy with everything all the time. And sometimes it just "sounds" like people expect to be pleased as punch every single time they see something from SU.
Just so you don't think I am abandoning the discussion here - I am going on vacation - now. Won't be back until next week so enjoy the points of view and I will check in then.
While I love SCS - it's nice to take a break now and then.

GET OUT THAT DOOR NOW!!!!
See you in a couple of hours V! Can't wait! Can't wait!
sorry for the highjack but we're supposed to meet for lunch and she WON"T LEAVE!!
After rereading those posts, I think I misunderstood too, Consuelo! My apologies to vrboyle for blowing her post out of proportion, even after you made it extremely clear what you were responding to.
I love both sets of new paper, the ribbons, the ribbon holders and one or two of the stamp sets. This means that I like this mini, any more "have to have" stamps or supplies would be over my budget!

That was a very nice apology and I'll make sure I tell her when she GETS TO MY HOUSE FOR LUNCH TODAY! WOOHOO!
I peeked at the link and some are ok some are not. I like the "Ornamassortment" (hope I got that right), great for cards & scrapbooking. I see them as versital also, like using it as a base for a fance beach ball or something. The "Quick Cards" set is great, I could use it to make simple cards and again for scrapbooking. I LOVE the "Jolly Holiday"!!! That little Santa guy is so cute, he may replace my standard snowman holiday cards. While I think the "A Merry Little Christmas" is nice it is to detailed for me. It would drive me nuts cuz I'd want to color it in and then I'd never get the cards done.;) The ribbon organzier is a great idea but I'll stick with my Snapware ribbon holders, they are fully enclosed (except for where a piece of ribbon hangs out) so the rolls do not get dusty.
Thank you jaxma for posting the link. If you hadn't I would never have seen the mini catty.

While you may not like anything while looking thru the mini, you MAY change your mind once you see some of the creations people post here. I can think of a few sets (such as the floral background) that I HATED in the book but loved once I saw it used on some projects.
Personally, I don't the the point in getting into such a major upheaval. As some one posted up-thread, if you don't like anything, don't buy anything.
