Can't seem to find any posts on this problem. I have both the stamp set and punch. My problem is that after I stamp one of the stamps, I go and try to use the scallop punch and the "scallops" don't match up. I've tried to get them to line up with the whole stamp set and none of them line up. What am I doing wrong? Is the stamp set defected or am I just not doing it right? I was under the impression that the "scallops" would all match up, but mine don't. I just got the punch, it was backordered when I ordered the stamp sets, and now I'm eager to use the punch with my sets. Any help would be great.
When I used mine for the first time I noticed that as well. I got it to match up close enough for my liking but it definitely is not 100% in line with the punch. At least not with my experience. I tried it from all different angles as well.

Hmm, I didn't have any trouble with mine. I stamp with the copyright at the bottom of the block. I usually just have to move it slightly to get it to line up.
I just tried mine, and the stamps and punch work together beautifully. I do have to rotate the punch around the edge a bit until I get the perfect fit, but that's often the case with these punches. HTH!
I've only played with my new stamp set and my punch for a little while now, but did notice I have to fiddle a bit to get it to line up correctly. It seems to work fine though.
Mine works fine also and I just got mine last week after it was backordered. Are you stamping the image and then turning the punch upside down so you can see where to move it around a bit to find the perfect spot? I usually punch mine on a corner or a bit larger circle so I can play with it to get the best punch. Hope it works out for you.
the SU scallop punch has had quality issues. Call your demo and ask for a replacement. My second one is on its way.
Thanks for this information Joan! I was thinking about ordering the scallop punch, but was hesitant to do so when I read about the problems some people were having with it. Now that I know what is going on, this punch is back on my wish list!

Thanks for all the advise. I'm going to call my "retired" rep. and see what to do . The punch cuts great, so far. It just doesn't line up with the stamped images very good. I love the punch & stamp set, but, just don't love them together.
I saw a link earlier for other stamp sets that are suppose to work with this punch. I can't find it now! Does anyone have it bookmarked, and can post it for me? THANKS in advance.
I love my scallop punch and haven't had any trouble with it lining up when using So Many Scallops, but I haven't tried it with all four stamps yet. I think I will check the others just to be sure.
Definitely make sure you rotate the image around some an use your punch upside down so you can see what you're doing! It does take some messing with! The scallops don't look like they match until you stamp it and then it looks fine (there's a slight disconnect between the depth of the metal punch and the way I "see" it matching up).
If that doesn't work you may have a quality issue.
I went to a demo recently and we used it just fine. The demo said you might have to slightly move it to get it to line up and that was the case but looked fine to me. I'd call SU or your demo.

Ditto this...I find I have to move my punch slightly left or right to have everything lined up right - ...I did find a great use for all my white scraps...stamp and then you can easily move the scallop punch to the left and the right

The quality issues were from the very first batch of scallop punches sent out - and even then not all punches had problems...SU was quick to correct and re-send scallop punches to those that noted problems. All that has been fixed so people who have recieved scallop punches in the last few months should have recieved ones with no problems
The problem was the punch wasn't "biting" down all the way and would not punch through the cardstock...there wasn't any alinement problems

I just got out my "so many scallops" set and they lined up perfectly with the scallop punch. I'm assuming your scallop punch is the SU one right? If it is, I think you might have a bad one? I hadn't heard of that before, but that's the only thing I can think of. How DISAPPOINTING is that! The only other thing would be that when I line them up, I am out a tad from the inked line, so that there is a slight white space all the way around? Does that make sense? If not, pm me and I'll take pictures of what I mean.
Yes you really have to align it just right. I wish the image went all the way out so you didnt have white or what ever color paper you stamped on showing.
