So, what do you want from the Summer Mini??
I am a crab collector so the Shore Thing will be mine and the Laundry Notes, oh and the Edgy Eloquence, love those "off the cuff" quotes, perfect for smarty pants like me!
I have never bought a wheel but the flip flops and fish might make me start!
I love the Petal Patch paper and I really like the Bud Blossoms collection, though darn it I have been able to restrain myself from getting the Jumbo wheels and continue to just get the regular wheels but this is making me have to choose between getting into the Jumbos or staying with my regular which of course I am also wanting the flip flop wheel which is really cute.
I love the cowboy one and that paisley stamp in there I can see a lot of uses for.
Love the wheels stamp set too with the baskets and scooters, I might have to add that to my list of stuff and can see that being used with the Loads of Love accesories.
!! Ok there goes my stamp budget. I need the new colors too. Glad I can sit and figure out what I need, geez my list might get even longer if I see anything in the gallery. I never thought I needed Roses in Winter but after all the stuff there I am thinking I have to get that next order as well.
I like Sheltering Tree, By Sea and Nature Prints. Probably won't get them all (until I see all the great cards on SCS!). I also like the little cowboy, but don't know what I'd use it for.
Thank you so, so, so much for posting that link! Now I can honestly say that I do not want anything from the summer mini. In fact, I think I will now order the "Spring Showers" paper and Looks Like Spring from the spring mini, which I was going to pass up because I was waiting for the Summer Mini. Now I can go ahead and order. Yea! That said, I am sure, like happens every single time, that once I see the demo's samples that start rolling into the gallery early, and I have a couple of months for them to burn onto my brain, many of these Summer Mini sets will grow on me (like Fairy Nice which is so far from something that I ever would have ordered, but those samples made me get it and it is probably my most used set now.)

A question first...whats with the paisley in the cowboy set? I think of paisley as more feminine...I don't have a need for the cowboys but I love paisley...oh well
I want the:
Paper
I really like the basic outline Jumbo wheel so I think I'm gonna stock up on some other jumbos and ink cartredges
edgy elequence has potential - I never have verses to put inside cards
Maybe on the shore thing and polka dot posies
Some of it depends on the retired list though and how much I "have" to spend on that
I guess the paisley has to do with the typical paisley print cowboy bandannas.
I like the quotes in Edgy Eloquence, but I'm not sure I like the upper & lower case letters mixed up like that. IMO it makes the words harder to read. So I'm still undecided about that one.
The only other set I'd consider buying is Sheltering Tree, but it's not a definite must-have.

Andrea, you need to watch professional bullriding! Cuz then you would know that a lot of the cowboys' shirts have paisley patterns on them. Bandannas are usually a paisley pattern, too.
Back in the 50's, my brother had a cowboy outfit that he basically lived in. The bandana was a red background with a black paisley design on it. Yep, I vividly remember that bandana as I saw it every day until he outgrew that outfit and then once in awhile afterwards as he kept the bandana!
Well, I "need" to have:
the Petal Patch paper (I got the paper in the Spring Mini and it's GORGEOUS!!!), Cowboy Kids, Shore Thing is VERY cute (not sure if I "need" it tho ;), Clowning Around (how cute is this even tho my ds HATES clowns!), Wish You Were Here is neat too (again, not sure if I "need" it tho), and must have Nature Prints!! This is my list so far ....
Honestly, there are only a couple things I want from this mini. It's pretty disappointing considering how many people are getting into the prismacolor/gamsol coloring, there nothing to color, it's all solid stamps!
I do like:
Cowboy Kid
Edgy Eloquence
Flip Flop wheel
I might be talked into:
Bud Basics wheels
Pattern of Friendship
But man those Clowns are scary! I was so hoping for nice Circus set too :(
The cowboy one. Maybe the spunky alphabet. That's it for me. I'll save my money for the retired list and the new catty. I'm relieved there wasn't more I have to have. :-D
Oh, I am going to have to study it for awhile so I can figure out which ones are my favorites. I know the Shore Thing will be on my list....and those wheels are so awesome. SU has such great products- I LOVE them. I will probably change my mind a hundred times...I'm still changing it over the April b/g special- but I will tell you this much- whatever I buy will probably BLOW my budget to bits! (it always does....I don't even know why I bother with a budget....)

Love the idea of using the Wheel Thing set with the Loads of Love accessories!!! I liked it right away but had been trying to think of how I would actually use this set. Thanks for the tip pigfingers!

Thanks for posting the link JPMAYO! JPMAYO ROCKS!!!
That said, I love love love the paper!
Yes she does!! Aren't we going to have so much fun when we finally get the catalog in our hands!! After seeing it- I can hardly wait. That paper is so awesome. I like it a lot better than the Spring paper- and I LOVE that. Oh, where to start, where to start.....I can kiss my savings account good bye!
Well, being that I have no clue as to what is in the Summer mini, I'll just have to hope that there is very little I want. LOL My monthly spending on SU! seems to be growing and growing. I literally had to go back to work just to support my habit.
Thankfully, I didn't see one thing I had to have in the Summer Mini. Now I can spend more on the Spring Mini and the new catalog. I thought just about everything in the Summer Mini seemed geared towards scrapbooking kid's pages. I have no kids, so nothing interests me.
Gotta have the cowboy but I do wish they had included a cowgirl as well. The only must have I saw.
I second that! What's up with that? But he is really cute....maybe these clever SCS girls will figure out a way to make the cowboy a "she" - although the mustache will be a difficult thing to delete....
I just want it all - First off definately The cowboy set and the new sayings - I still have an order of 12 monograms i haven't submitted yet because not sure if i wanna spend that much money on monograms even on sale. But love the summer mini so may just order everything LOL
I appreciate the link to the summer mini, jpmayo! Don't see anything I really need, but will wait to see what cards turn up in the gallery. Sometimes that will convice me to buy a set. I'll just save my $$ for things on the retired list.
And for those yummy new colors!
First off, thanks Jpmayo! I really enjoyed seeing the new stuff, which I would not have been able to do through my demo, since she's away on her honeymoon this week! In addition, I now know that I will be getting Just Like Spring and the punch next month, unless any of the more desired sets from my wish list end up on the 'retired' list.
Not one to make impulsive decisions, I've been mulling over your question for half a day. Although I like Bud Basics, Shore Thing and Nature Prints, I'll probably only end up with one of the aforementioned sets. Right now, the one that is calling to me most is Nature Prints, because I'm thinking that I may be able to achieve some really neat fossil-effects with it, using UTEE and adding inclusions to it.
However, I'll probably delay any purchases from this mini, until the new main catalog is debuted in July, but that's not to say that I won't be spending $$$ with my demo in the meantime. Believe me, being a new SU fan, I have a lot of catching up to do!
Also, I'm sure that there's a really big possibility of me reconsidering this, once all the fabulous creations, made with these sets, start emerging in the gallery! I think I've mentioned this before, you folks here are a corrupting influence, but please keep corrupting with all your beautiful works!
The only thing I like and I mean the ONLY thing is the paper. I didn't care for any of the stamp sets. I'll wait to see what's on the retired list, otherwise will save up for the new caddy in July.
It just seems to me that for me that every other mini is good or my tastes and likes. So with that, I bet the Winter mini and Holiday will be a awesome ones, or at least I hope so.
