Default So what were the last minute retiring sets you had to order

And have you gotten them yet and used them? Are you happy that you got them?

I was just wondering what was retiring that everyone had to get.

I had to get Stipple Shells and the matching wheel, Bug Builders and matching wheel, and Vine and Berry.

Vine And Berry is the only one that hasn't arrived yet.

I just did a sampler with Bug Builders and the wheel and I have used the Stipple Shell wheel. I will do a card later using all of the stamps in the Stipple Shell set.

I am happy with all of my last minute retiring sets! I have the DD leaf set that goes with Vine and Berry and think I will use them on my bedroom walls some day. I love Bug Builders! And Stipple shells is great, I have a lot of Beach vacations to scrapbook.

I bought the dragonfly wheel last month figuring it was retiring and love it! I also picked up Classic Convertibles knowing that I make quite a few male cards. I used it for Father's Day and it is way cool. Just ordered Bitty Boos today. That's it for me. Had quite a few of the retiring sets but know I will still use them as I am not a demo. Hoping I don't regret not getting On the Farm and Filigree. I was on the fence with those and decided against.

I bought Farm Fresh, Crayon fun numbers and Polka Dot Party. I really like all of them. I'm especially glad that I got Polka Dot Party because that is one I have been on the fence about for a while. After getting it and playing with it I have thought of all kinds of great ways to use it.

I HAD to get Somebunny New (which apparently arrived just in time - I found out I'm going to be a grandma!!) and I had to get Little Engines. I was just crazy about both of those last year. I don't have small children, but I do love a lot of sets for them.

Then I warned my demo that I would be placing an order just before the 30th for Watercolor Garden II (and a bunch of reinkers for my retiring colors). Couldn't stand it.

Now I'm wishing I could have ordered Rhyme Time, but I'll have to try to get it in the trade listing!

The exciting thing is that I get to order my birthday present stamps at a Catalog Kick-off in Sacramento on July 9th. I should have my catalog any day. I have my own little party every year (my b-day is July . YAY!

The only one I ordered was Little Trucks. My 3 yo is into "rigs" big time, so I'll use it in his scrapbook and also for his birthday party invitations in Feb. Was surprised that the new catty didn't have anything remotely similar, so I'm glad I ordered it.

Quirky Alpha Lower and numbers...don't know why I have waited so long...actually had projects on hold pending buying those.

Stipple Plaid...have wanted that from the day I got my hands on my 2001-2002 catty...again...why did I wait!??

Swirls and Blossoms background...it was spur of the moment add on.

Contemporary Alpha and Numbers...love the way they look when watercolored.

And Fall Fun...held my girlfriends set hostage for so many months that she nearly forgot she already owned it. (Sorry Lorie!! actually, not really ;) )

I ended up only being able to order 4 sets that I wanted & boy was it hard to narrow it down... Happy Fall Y'all, A Year in the Country, Sleigh Ride & Exotic Blooms - there were so many that I just could not afford (& then some that I just didn't want to cut!)

Some I regret not getting are... (excuse me for not knowing the exact names here)... Lighthouses, The Santa Clause one & Somebunny New - just to name a few to depress myself...

Cool

At my stamp group in June I ordered Tickled Pink. I had ordered it once before but my DD put it on her Christmas list so I gave it to her for Christmas and never got another one. Since they retired it, I HAD to get it before it went bye bye. My demo e-mailed on Friday that she was going to place 1 more final order on Tuesday if we wanted anything. I went ahead and ordered the Flamingo Wheel and On the Beach. That will be so good for scrapping. I did buy another stamp set, but it's a secret.

I ordered Wonderful WQings today

My demo called and told me that there was no "real" replacement - the only new bugs were the bugs to match IFB and a new DD that is reminicent of bug builders.

So I caved and scraped a few bucks together and ordered it!

I LOVE that set and was hoping a new replacement that was similar in style.

Now my demo has me drooling with baited breath until Friday - she says I am gonna LOVE the new catty - the accessories are BAR-NONE the best to date!

Our schedules are strange so I will not be able to buy her a coffee and drool over her catty! Crossing my fingers Brown arrives and I can get the catty from her EARLY on Friday morning - otherwise its not until AFTER the 4th Holiday - BOO HOO!

EDITING TO ADD: I have an AWESOME DEMO - I GOT MY CATTY - BROWN ARRIVED TODAY!!! Cup of tea and some quiet time in Bliss - here I come!!!

Smiles

Kate

I had to get Roughing It as there is no camping set in the new catty. It's not my favorite but we camp and I scrapbook so I figured I would regret not gettingit. Oh and also the shell wheel. The rest of my money is waiting for my July 1 order.

Well, a few of them I *think* that I may have already had but most of my house is in storage right now so I wasn't sure. Because of that I may end up with "doubles".

When you read this (long) list, take into consideration that I bought NO stamps the entire preceding year. (shocked?)

Hearts & Clovers
Holiday Sampler
Ho Ho Holidays
Simply Spring
On The Beach
Crayon Fun
Beautiful Batik & wheel
Farm Fresh
Paisley Print
Hedgie Play wheel
Dandelion wheel
Crayon Fun Alpha - lower (believe it or not I'm still thinking about ordering the UC tomorrow... was today the LAST day to order? I thought it was 6/30...)
Have a Heart
Hang in There

... and this was after I crossed 11 other OFF of the list. :P

Do I regret any of the purchases? NOT YET. I'm also not mounting anything until I use it in case I decide to sell them.

There were a few sets I thought I wanted.. but... couldn't afford to make a 'mistake'.. so the only set that I could decide on 100% was the Farm Fresh. So.. that's it for me. But I also ordered "All the Best" with it... ;)

I'll be placing an order in a couple days though... get my new catty tomorrow!!! Yay!!!

My daughter will be 6 in July she is all the time wanting to look at my catalog. She keeps showing me Dino-mite and loves to stamp with me. I ordered her the Dino-mite stamp set since its retiring and she loves dinosaurs. I'm getting a blank white table cloth and letting her decorate it with the stamp set for her party.

I order Watercolor Garden II, On the Line, and By the Sea wheel.
I wasn't sure if this wheel would be in the new catalog and I thought it would still go good with the new set in the Summer Mini.

I ordered Farm Fresh. but also wanted Coast to Coast. I had to conserve funds for the new catty, so I sadly let Coast to Coast go. :(

I got Paisley Print as soon as I heard it was retiring, and ended up ordering Classic Cars too. Glad I did because I'm not real crazy about the trucks that are in the new catty. The cars are much better. They make such great guy cards.

I had to get On the Farm (as I purchased the wheel that matches last year) and Wedding Elegance.

I really wanted to get Roughing It and I wish I did now that I heard there are no camping / hiking stamps in the new catalog. :(

That is too funny, I put in the SAME order!!! I also bought the magenta and forest foliage reinkers. I am still tempted to get A Beautiful Season as well. Love the snowman in that one.
