I'm kind of wondering if it's something that really won't affect the day-to-day experience for any of us, but is something that the SCS gurus themselves are excited about. Of course, anything that makes them happy will make us happy for them

I'm just happy to know that Daven is known to be at CHA. Usually if someone is a day late getting back to me, I may be a little worried about *them.* Not worried. Not worried about the announcement either.
It's just that I don't think he'd reiterate the entire history of SCS if this weren't something big. THAT makes me curious ;)
Agree....I know he says Good News, but the "hard year, new beginning" has me wondering...maybe a total website overhaul? I am fairly new here, so I am not sure what he means by "hard year".
Daven--Great story and have enjoyed the suspense and this thread is so funny.
Hope all is ok and you are enjoying this too. But you did say you would tell us the next day and well....more than one day has gone by.
Just want you to know that I think that with all. you guys have been thru over the years that you have done a great job with this site and I for one am very thankful for you and all who have helped. Applause !!!!!
Okay... I think those are illustrations of "Boredom"... and "A watched pot never boils" is for Impatience!! Anticipation!! Better get yourself distracted by something - quick!! LOL!!
Here are a couple of scenarios that popped into my mind:
1) Daven's fear of the "blank page" led him to try something different and on the plane trip to CHA write it out in long-hand. Get back to the basics. And then basically lost the handwritten copy and decided he'll find it when he unpacks after CHA and isn't going through that torture again.
2) Staying up late, preparing for a trip, and dealing with the news itself induced a vivid dream of having already divulged this news to us and the subsequent overwhelming positive response... and he thinks he already told us... but, alas, it was only a dream.
It's okay. It's all okay. We'll wait. We still care. And yes... I'll echo the poster above "APPLAUSE, APPLAUSE" !!
Anyone know when CHA is over? I have a feeling that we aren't going to get any news until that's over and he's back home.
Although I do find it kinda suspcious that he posted and told us to check back the following day knowing that he was going to be at CHA for the next few days....goes back to that masochist thing someone else mentioned.
In between checking this thread and the homepage I've actually got to check out the gallery and left quite a few comments, something which I haven't had time for in quite a while. Lots and lots of good stuff happening there too

I forgot all about that one!!! Spent 24 years as a military wife and heard that phrase MANY times when the kids were around. Thanks for the smile and bringing back memories.

We all know Daven has a way with words. If you read the above carefully, he says to come back Wednesday and Thursday...he doesn't actually say that there will be anything TO READ when we come back! ;)
