Alright, is there a 12 step program for SCS addiction!?!?!
I have drawn out sketches, researched new techniques, added a cards to my favorites for later CASE, and giggled at many forum posts/replies.
What I haven't done is anything productive at my "real" job for a week! I also have not torn myself away from SCS at home long enough to even clean up my VSN mess from 2 weeks ago! AND I HAVEN'T PLACED A STAMP TO INK but yet have some AWESOME plans! :(
Sorry, but it sounds like you've already been sucked in the great abyss, there's no leaving now! Seriously, I know what you mean, I started coming here to get my creative juices flowing, and now I think this place is hindering me from being creative!! Very addicting.

Oh yes... I agree. My computer froze up for a full day and I actually got more done than I have in two months.

I know what you mean but I'm also addicted to e-bay and need to stay away from there so I'm hoping that scs can keep me distracted from e-bay. I am even considering joining as a consultant as I went way over my budget for scrapbooking this month.
Shortly after I found this web-site I was throwing a party for my 1 YO DD's birthday. I had to turn the computer off to get anything done. I kept saying to myself, you have thirty people coming here and they're all going to know you're a lazy slob when they see this house. Eventually the stress of my Mother-In-Law coming to this house, made me get off my butt and work like a fool!
I am trying to put some limits on this though. I don't want my kiddos to feel neglected, and DH is starting to resent it a little, so honestly, I have cut back. But it is hard!!
Unfortunately, it doesn't get any better! I've been a member since I found this site almost two years ago, and I'm still addicted. I do get some stamping done, though, but not much else! Luckily, my kids are grown, with families of their own, so I don't have the responsibilities that some of you younger ones do. I'd hate to think how my kids would have suffered if I'd been into this while they were growing up! LOL!

Hello----My name is Kari and I'm a SCS addict!!! I sooo know what you mean, I get nothing done anymore and when I'm at work I feel almost sick thinking I have to spend time catching up on the gallery additions and new posts. My husband laughs and says he won't put my 'puter in the craft room because he'll never see me. sshhh he hasn't quite figured out exactly what this site is yet so I'm still safe!! Don't attempt to fight it, it will only make it worse!!! At least you know you are not alone!
At least I have company! Happy Heart, you expressed my thoughts - I have no job (retired long ago), no at home responisiblities, really, and get very little done - spend so much time looking at all the creative ideas, reading about new techniques, and "visiting" with members of the SCS family. Guess there could be worse addictions!
I just said to my Mom last night that when I do have any time to stamp I end up getting on here instead. Of course, it doesn't stop me from spending $$ on stamps and stamp "stuff". I just don't use it. We all need help!!!
Uh...I am no help! Look at me! I am about to graduate from Kookie Creator when I make my 500th post! I wonder how many cards I could have made in the time it took me to make that many posts! Hmmmm....???!!!!
I did make a commitment not to visit during work time, I just don't think it's the right thing to do. But at home... well... my family is planning an intervention strategy soon! They are convinced that this is a glorified cult and that subliminal messages are secretly being transmitted.

Being a business owner and having a computer in my office has proven to worsen the addiction. I find that by Saturday I have 5 days worth of slips to balance when I use to be able to take Saturdays off.

I didn't know you graduated - I just moved up from glitter queen - I was wondering how those things got there. I have only been a member for a few weeks and thought when the gallery went away for a bit so would I, wrong wrong wrong....Now I get excited when the baby wakes me up early because after I get her settled I have some alone time on SCS. Nice to chat with people with a similar addiction. Now what the goal of our 12 step program be, are we suppose to stop all purchases and give away our stash, or just use what we have before we buy more? Is there anyone out there who thinks, If I just get ____ all of my projects will magically come together?
