I know this is really corny, but I have song mixes that I like to stamp to. Sometimes I think it helps get the right brain going, especially if I am in a funk and can't think of ideas for my swaps that are due very soon and can't think of anything (help, Erica....), does anyone else do this or am I alone in my madness? What are your favorite songs to stamp to? When I am doing Christmas cards, I always listen to ' Big 80's Christmas' and 'A very Ally(mcBeal) Christmas', but other then that I try and find songs to uplift/ inspire.what have ya got, girls?

My favorite music to stamp of just listen to is Jack Johnson's In Between Dreams CD. I can listen to that CD 100 times a day and not get tired of it. I also like my Peter CD's from convention.

Well...I don't listen to music, usually. I listen to Garrison Keillor's Prairie Home Companion. I have several sets of the CDs and tapes and have listened to them so many times that I have all of them memorized! There is something about his voice that gets my creative gears turning...I haven't figured out what it is yet, but it is surely time to buy some new CDs since I wore out one set of tapes and had to trash them!
I usually just have my radio on, but when doing Christmas cards I love my Trans Siberian Orchestra CD. I also will put in Amy Grant, Manheim Steamroller Christmas CDs, and George Winston's "Linus & Lucy" which has music from the Peanuts cartoon - which always reminds me of Christmas..
Christmas is about the only time I "mellow" on music. Otherwise it's new/hard rock, to get my engery going!

I love to listen to Enya or a little James Taylor when I stamp...it may be a little too mellow for some, but stamping to me is so cathardic (did I spell that right?) that I like the mellow music.
But then again when I am trying to crank out a bunch of cards (lately I have been doing a lot of save the dates for friends and family) I listen to something more upbeat. Since moving to TX I have become a BIG Roger Creager fan...he and I stamp together often :o)
But nothing beats stamping Christmas cards to Holiday Music my hubby thinks this is a little excessive especially when I start working on my christmas cards in Sept./Oct. :o) hee hee

I use Napster (subscriber) so I am constantly creating new playlists - I usually just name them whatever month I created them in. This month I am listening to a mixture of different songs - Crazy by Gnarls Barkley, Jimmy Gets High by Daniel Powter, Sway - ***** Cat Dolls, also some Repercussions, Barenaked Ladies, Corinne Bailey Rae (reminds me of a combination of Macy Gray and Billie Holiday) and I can't remember the rest...and sometimes when I don't know what to listen to I will listen to KC and The Sunshine Band - this is very peppy music to stamp to!
Totally love that Crazy, Gnarls Barkly, I have got to get that. Currently I don't stamp to music, cause I don't have a CD/Radio in my stamp area but I want one. If I had one, I bet I would be listening to James Blunt a whole lot! I got that one in the car and then it moves to my bedroom to got to sleep to, it is driving DH nuts, but I love that CD.
I like to listen to Josh Groban, El Divo, or Enya mostly. They are all so relaxing for me. Or sometimes depending on my mood I also like to listen to Keith Urban, Rascal Flats or Kenny Chesney. These 3 are all country but they are a bit more upbeat.
I change cd's from time to time, but basically listen to one over and over til I'm sick of it, and then put in another one to listen to for weeks on end! Right now I've got "Celtic Women" in. Before that it was one of the Classic Hits (classical music) cd's, and before that, Linda Etter's Broadway tunes cd.
I listen to contemporary Christian or country. I guess it depends on my mood. During the holidays it will all be Christmas music. I love Christmas music. It takes me back to being a kid. It plays almost all day long at my house from the day after Thanksgiving (when the holiday season should start IMHO) till Jan 1 when the tree comes down.
Usually I end up listening to whatever my husband is listening to in the room two doors down - what is a pleasant level to me and what he can actually hear are two totally different things as he is 1/2 deaf from standing in front of amplifiers for the past 30 years. And he usually listens to 80's heavy metal and classic rock - Oh sometimes I feel sorry for our neighbors

I hook my ipod up and set it to "boyfriends" and stamp away!
BTW, "boyfriends" are all songs by Kenny Chesney, Keith Urban and Tim McGraw! They just love my stamping and they always go on an on about how beautiful my cards are...ok, I'm awake now, sorry, it is SLOW at work today!
For our Christmas in July meeting we had we put in Kenny's "All I want for Chirstmas" and put it on repeat! The sad thing is that our club was last month and the CD was still in my car changer, in full rotation, with all my other CD's...now that's a KC fan
I love listening to music while I stamp. My usual rotation is Marty Casey and the Lovehammers, Billy Squier, Lynrd Skynrd (I am always in the mood for them), 38 Special, AC/DC, Red Hot Chili Peppers, & the Going South cd. I also occasionally throw in other artists I like, late 70's & early 80's music and occasionally, disco. Starting in September or October the Christmas music comes out. I usually rotate between Lynrd Skynrd - Christmas Time Again, Rudolph, The Chipmunk's Christmas, The Time Life Christmas cds, and Manheim Steamrollers.
Oh man, do I ever feel like a big old dork. I listen to the Bee Gee's. I loved them back in the "disco" era, and love their new stuff. Some of their stuff that came out about 10 years ago is really good, really I'm not kidding!! Try is you will love it, LOL!! I even have their DVD concert they did in Vegas before Maurice died. I loved their long hair and well just everything about them. WOW, showing the age again.
