I don't know where else to start this thread... and it will either be a lot of fun or I'll be the only one who thinks it's cool!
I see a lot of really funny, touching, inspiring, outrageous, poignant quotations/comments/jokes/propaganda(!) in people signature lines here. I thought it would be fun if we shared with eachother memorable items we've come across from signature lines.
What have you read in a signature line lately that made you laugh, touched your heart.... made you think, "I want to remember that one!" ??
I like those that say "Save the earth. It's the only planet with chocolate".
I also like those that have nothing to do with ANYthing (that's what makes them funny) like one that says "A dog's feet smell like Fritos. Don't believe me? Smell the feet. Don't smell it? It's the nose." (that was a paraphrase)
I've seen the Fritos one too -- we really know her sense of humor from that, don't we?!
So.. Sophie... you are talented and I really admire your work. Could you translate your lovely French sig line for us?? I know very little French so here's a guess -- something about 'make love, not war... oh wait, I made both: married you!' Oh.. please don't take me to the guillotine if I'm way off LOL!!
I think I need to request a merge!! Somehow my computer hiccuped and I ended up with one being posted without me knowing it!! Does anyone know how to get threads merged?? So so sorry :(

I like the signatures that have humourous stuff.
Ha! That's ErinK's, and I've been trying to figure that one out for a loooooooong time!!!!

*grin* Thanks Nancy!
It means "make love, not war - or make both: get married!" I got it from a French quotations website (no author cited).

I like reading Erin K's posts even better than reading her signature; she cracks me up!!!
I remember another ex-signature line of Joan B's. It went something like this (it was a link to her blog): Paperlicious: my blog where I only discuss important things and do not go on and on about nothing and where I don't ramble on and o
it went on and on...and it ended abruptly like that in the middle of a word! It was so funny!! That was another paraphrase, 'cause I don't remember the original.
"Beware of dragons, for you are crunchy and good with ketchup."
Wish I could remember who had that one now...she's been gone for a year or two, I think. Always made me think twice about posting something that someone else could consider inFLAMEatory. ~ kbc

I always wonder about the poignant ones like "Mother of a murdered child" or "Rest in Peace KC" or "Missing my beloved son." It seems very personal and I don't think that I would ever have a signature line like that, but it does give me pause when I see it and makes me send them mental goodwill if you know what I mean.

I remember this one, but I can't remember who "owns" it. It is too funny!

KC was named after the KC CHIEFS which is my moms favorite NFL team.

Currently it says "SCS brass" - quoted from a now-closed hot thread. I think once it was something about eating cold "hot pockets" . He changes it frequently.

I like this one from justcrazy
"I know I'm in my own little world, but it's ok. They know me here"
---- cracks me up everytime!!
I remember seeing this one too - love it!!
I saw one the other day that said something like "Give a man a fish, he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish and he sits in a boat and drinks beer all day."
I really do like the original saying, but this was funny!
MWDStamps: "When you recover or discover something that nourishes your soul and brings joy, care enough about yourself to make room for it in your life." Jean Shinoda Bolen
This one I remember .. someone quotes Frank Bielic (spelling?) from Trading Spaces and it's along the lines of.... There's no such thing as a mistake, it's simply an embellishment opportunity. He was probably more eloquent than that!!
And, laderme has: Since I learned to laugh at myself, I'm constantly amused....
I'm so glad to see this thread! I saw someone's line a few weeks ago and was planning to search to steal it for a funny card. It said something to the effect of "some people are a lot like slinkies - not very useful but fun to watch when you push them down the stairs."
I have some co-workers who would appreciate that sentiment in a card! -Leslie

I love the funny ones. The slinky one is too funny.
Phantom - thanks for mentioning mine. I get sent a quote a day and that one really struck me. Too often I was feeling guilty while I was stamping, felt like I should be doing something more "productive." Needed to remember to take time for myself.

This is my email signature line. I try to live my life to honor the memory of my beautiful 16 y/o daughter Hannah who died in a car accident almost 4 yrs ago now. Sascha Wagner says it perfectly:
As long as I can, I will remember how many things on the earth were your joy.
And I will live as well as you would want me to live, as long as I can."

Kimz1959: I was wondering about Hannah, and even went to compassionate friends from your post once - it is a gentle comfort zone for those who have lost children, isn't it? So glad you posted the quote, it is wonderful. Thank you for sharing your pain and your pride in your siggy line.
Carole4312; your glow worm has to be the most original one I have seen.
There is another one that cracks me up about walking in someone elses shoes and being miles away and having their shoes.
Thanks, Phantom, for starting this thread - inquiring minds want to know!!
