Question Is it spelt right?

I know there are variances between countries, even Canada and the U.S. I was looking at the Season's Greetings set of 8 - particularly the May Christmas bring.... stamp. In Canada we spell "carollers" with two "l's" but the stamp has it "carolers". When I see it, it looks like a misprint to me, or an error on the stamp. So, those from the US, please help me out, how do you spell it? c a r o l e r s (or) c a r o l l e r s

Default spelling

The online dictionaries spell it both ways. They show both caroller and caroler.

I would spell it caroler, but I think it can probably spelled both ways.

My American Heritage Dictionary spells it with one l, but I see it with 2 all through the season. I don't think there's a right or wrong. I agree that it may be a regional thing.

Thanks for looking it up for me. This looks like one of those "grey, colour, neighbour" type words then. I must be old school.

I would spell caroler. (And I'm Canadian) Centre (in Canada) refers to a business or place usually I think, and center is like the center of a cake. color/colour favorite/favourite, I think those are personal preference. IMHO of course!

I would spell it "carolers". And I also think "spelt" should be "spelled".
