Default Spots vs. markers

OK...what do you all find the most useful, economical way to get all the colors without investing in full sized pads right away? Do you find the markers more versatile than the spots? I really need ALL the colors, you know!

Thanks...

I bought all the spots...and I am still acquiring the markers. I have bought them as I needed them...and I buy them a few at a time. I use my spots all the time, and then buy the pads as I love/need them. I'm now also buying the reinkers by color family. I do a lot of technique work/watercolor/etc. with them...and also can reink my spots!

I have the spots but not the markers. I like my spots a lot and I have been able to do most of the things you can do with the markers using the spots. However, I want to get the markers too someday!

I have both the spots and the markers and I find the spots handier to use when inking up a stamp. I use the markers for detailing or when I want to use just part of the stamp.

I have all of the spots and love them! They come in handy if you want to do some "traveling" and have more room for stamp sets  . I also have most of the markers but do tend to use the spots more. They come in handy at a workshop and I have many customers who have purchased these.

I love the spots! The small size of the spots makes it easy to take all my colors with me when I go to a friend's house to stamp or scrapbook. Then I've been ordering the regular size pads here and there of the colors I tend to use the most. I guess my next step will be to order the markers in the same colors!

I use my markers a lot more than I use the spots, but if you don't have any pads I would say go for the spots!!

I bought the spots one color family at a time. Then I bought the reinkers, the same way. I saved up and bought all the markers all at once, because the case is wonderful. When I first got the markers, I rarely used them, but have started using them more. I'm only buying the full size pads as I notice I'm using a certain color a lot - like right now, I'm so into Eggplant Envy, Night of Navy and Not Quite Navy, that those are going to be my next full size pad buys.

I bought the SS spots first and maybe because they are pastel in color they are not very juicy. I am not sure I will purchase any more spots. I love my markers and am finding more uses for them all the time.

I have all the pads now but when I started, I just had spots & markers and I used the markers more! I love the new style markers so I still use them a lot!
