The only time I can remember saying Autumn in the past few years was when we were discussing equinoxes and solstices (boring day at work) and thus said Autumnal equinox, but then you woudn't use Spring for it's opposite.
What she said. It is rich in imagery! Autumn to me is more formal and fall is common, but on a cool WA morning with the mists on the lowlands and the sun beginning to break through the upper level fog and streams of sunlight highlighting the evergreens and the changing colors of the other trees and shrubs with moist earth, bird song and a hot cuppa joe who can say fall? That is Autumn!!!!

It's Fall......and in California if you blink you might miss it!!! It's sooooo short compared to Minn.where I'm originally from. Of course it's also my most favorite time of year so in my house it's fall all year round.
This is one set that us Brits are really happy about! We never use Fall, only Autumn and there are lots of sets we can't use because of the spelling, we spell neighborhood "neighbourhood" and we call soccer, "football", so it is nice to have an English word rather than an American-English word. ;) We don't mind though, because it is an American company after all!
I kind of don't get why SU did it though! I really would have thought more people would buy it with Fall, rather than Autumn.
