Question Stamped Candles Catch On Fire???

I've been creating candles for the holidays. Stamping on tissue paper, cutting, and adhearing to the candles with the heat guns. My friend just told me to be careful when burning them because once they burn down to the tissue paper the tissue can catch on fire.
Has anyone experienced this??

my husband drills out part of the candle and I just put a tea light in them when I do them and give them out...that way the paper never burns out...

I use pillar candles and have never had one burn to the outside edge.

I never thought of drilling out the center...that's a good option. I'm just wondering if anyone has ever had one catch afire. I made a few sets of tea lights with snowflakes wrapped around the bottom...that will burn to the edge I think....

A few years back I was going to sell these at a craft fair and was worried about this same thing. So I made a candle and I let it burn for a really long time. Then I took a lighter and I held it to the edge of the candle and tried to set the thing on fire. I couldn't get it to light. I was satisfied.

I can't say that it will never happen but in my experience it didn't. I would recommend trying your candles out yourself.

Those candles burn down the middle, not on the outside. Plus, the tissue paper is coated in wax. It's not gonna ignite. Still, there's never a good time for burning a candle UNATTENDED, kwim?

Be sure that the candles you are using are the cheap ones. Nothing like partylite, yankee etc. That way, the candle does in fact burn down the center. I suggest to my customers that they burn the candle just long enough to form an indent the size of a tealight in the top. After that they can use tealights and just drop them in. This way they have their pretty candles much longer too.
