I am moving again. This time "home" to Washington State. We will be in Kitsap county somewhere. Who else is there? We are looking to build or remodel a "keeper" house. I am looking forward to staying put for awhile and to meeting new stamp friends.

I'm near Kitsap County. We moved back (I grew up here) from MD about 18 months ago. We're building our "keeper" home :-)
I'm not actively stamping right now - too busy with the house build, and the rental has way too little space - but I know there are many stamp/scrapbook people around here.
Feel free to PM -

Home is in Bremerton, for me, Vee! Unfortunatley, the army has moved us to Virginia for right now... Where in Kitsap County will you be? I grew up there and I miss home so much! Good luck with your move!

Welcome to WA Vee! I'm in Pierce Co but just a drive across the Narrows from where you'll be. There are so many of us stampers here in the NW, I don't think you'll have a shortage of new stamping firends.
I hope things go smooth with your move and you find a home you fall in love with. (that has room for lots of stamping space ;)

I have lived out there before so I do know all those areas. Lived in Walla Walla to. I am looking at central or north school districts, but have no real idea yet. I will need a rental and a builder. *shhh-I am determined to get a "real" stamproom!*

Our builder is very good, but he only works in Mason county. I'll ask him if he knows anyone in north or central Kitsap.
We're pretty happy with the architect we used, too - he's on Bainbridge. He only works with builders - he doesn't like the estimating costs part - and he charges by the hour, plus he's also an engineer so the plans don't have to be signed off by another (hired) person. Other architects wanted 10-15% of the final budget; we paid 1-2% and while there are always things you might change, we're happy with the options we got.
On the less expensive side, there are several local builders who have half a dozen or so stock plans from which to choose - I've seen building prices as low as $60-70/s.f. We're coming in at a little over twice that amount, but this is the house we're going to live in for the rest of our lives (we hope), and we have some custom features like floor to ceiling windows in three rooms.
I did plan a craft room! It's small - 8x10-ish - but it has lots of indirect light and will be perfect for my daughter and I to enjoy crafting together.
Let me know if you need any more info :-)

It would be a bit of a drive, but you're invited to visit me in Lynden sometime. Go to my profile and you can see where I live.... right in front of a big ol' mountain. Actually, Mount Baker is 55 miles (and 1 1/2 hours) away. I just seems as though it's sitting on my house in that picture.
My niece lives in Gig Harbor. She is sort of knowledgeable about builders in that end of Kitsap. But as for designed, she actually designed her own house. It's wonderful, just no blueprints for sale.
