Smile Stampin Pastels

I was wondering if anyone out there knows how the new color refill is packaged for the pastels. I have the old set and have never purchased any refills for it....here is my dilemma: if the new color refill is not in an easy to use packaging (which I do not know) then I should just order a whole new set of chalks so that way the colors are readily accessible and will not get damaged.

Let me know your thoughts

Bump since I'd like to know too. I ordered them on my new catty order and I'll deal with it if they don't come in a "usable" way (I'd have ordered them regardless) but I am curious.

Yeah.... I am just trying to figure out if I waste the 10.00 to get the refill only to then realize that I do not like the way they are packaged and end up buying a whole new set...

Hi guys I'm new here and although I haven't seen the way refills are packaged, but my upline told me that you would take the discontinued squares of chalks out and put the new ones in their places. I'm not sure what you would do with sahara sand, cause it is not replacing anything. I also know that on the SU web site the have a place where you can download and print a new insert to stick over the old paper inside of the lid so that the correct colors are named and you can find them and stuff. hope this helps.

personally I was thinking about just buying the new set!! The refills are $9.95 (for the 11 new colors) and the entire set of Pastels (all the colors) are only $24.95!!

Man! I was hoping it would come in some kind of plastic case so when I switch the colors I'd have something to put the old ones in . . . I didn't even think about Sahara Sand, which would be "extra", wouldn't it? No space in the old case for it? Say it isn't so . . . please?

To the OP, did you mean the "Old" SU! pastels, not in the 48 colors? Cos if you still had those, I'd say just get the new ones.

Now for everyone else:

Look at page 199, and get your pastels case out.

Mine is different.

The new white is just a square; mine is in the center over the curved part.

Now the applicators are over the curved part, and it's longer. The three neutral colors are along the bottom!

So those of us who don't want to simply upgrade, will have some juggling to do!

I can't WAIT til someone gets theirs and tells us what they ended up doing.

I guess the positive spin would be: They gave us less white but two more colors, and didn't waste any space.

My idea was to just get a new set, that way I would have the new packaging for the customer to see. My old ones are pretty used anyway and I figured if I bought just the new colors then I would wish I bought a new set, so my vote is just buy a new set. I also thought I could put some of my pieces from my old set in with the new set and not waste them or add them as I use the new ones down some.

Oh well, just my ideas!
