I was just curious to see how many of you stampers out there have the Stampin' Scrub? I have one and I was just wondering what sort of maintenance goes into these. When is it time to buy a new refill scrub pad? I have had mine for a year + and these days it just doesn't seem to be doing the job right.
I wash/rinse it out every few uses.

Any suggestions or tips?
Thanks!
I wash mine after every use and sometimes during useage if I'm using really dark colors. And then, every once in a while, I throw the pads in the dishwasher. After a year mine is still in great condition.
I've had mine for probably 5 years and have never replaced the pad. I am a S.U. demonstrator so it gets alot of use. I just clean it with soap and water when it gets really dirty. Otherwise it still works good.
I have had multiple ones for over 2 years now and all I do is wash with soap and water after each use and they are doing great. I too am a demo so they get lots of use.
I couldn't live without mine! I've had my original one for over 6 years now! I bought a replacement but haven't needed to use it. I also rinse mine after every use and if I've used versamark or a craft pad, I use dishsoap and water to clean it.
I have had repeated problems with the wet side of the scrubber. It seems to "flick" color onto adjacent areas (outside the scrubber). I discovered this after an evening of stamping--there was (fortunately) white scrap paper besides the scrubber and it looked like overly done "confetti" paper! What am I doing wrong? Too wet? I've given up on it for the mean time, sticking to Stampin Mist, baby wipes, wet sponges, etc.
Sounds like it's just too wet? Are you using plain water or stampin' scrub or some other product? I know a lot of people who use wate, but you have to be careful not to use to much, or else be careful when scrubbing.

Your pad is too wet and you are moving the stamp around too much. Try less water and move the stamp in a circle rather than back and forth.
Thank you for the tips. Honestly, I have never washed mine with soap.
I didn't know if that was good for it or not.
And the news that I can throw it in the dishwasher is EXCELLENT!
I think my problem is that all the color isn't getting washed away...I might need to buy a replacement (just to start over with a fresh one) b-c I have not been washing it properly...but thanks for all the suggestions.
I love my scrub...most of my customers have them and I haven't had any complaints. I usually rinse my out and then wash it with very little soap and water and leave it in the sink to dry all night.
I am thinking that maybe you might need to clean yours really good. Then if that doesn't work get a refill...
I find the biggest pain in the butt to be getting the pads IN and OUT...it kills...I have found that mine don't stay clean as long as they used to...I used stampin mist, now I use ranger cleaner that smells like bubble gum...works equally as well :? Kerilou
