I received an email this morning from a Canadian demo. Starting April 1 SU is coming out with ink pad & marker storage trays, Stampin Blend trays, storage cube, storage topper and storage lid. They appear to be white plastic and can be arranged to your liking.
I will be interested in seeing prices and dimensions (US). Maybe a SU demo could share that here??
Going to add up quick and be very expensive. They don't hold the old pads either.
That is what I thought, too. I already have Stamp-N-Storage products that I absolutely love, anyways. The SU! storage has a very clean, minimalist look, though, that I'm sure appeals to people. I like "warm and comfortably cozy" but my daughter loves clean, straight lines and the color white.
I saw it demonstrated that the old pads can fit into the ink pad holders, but they lift the sides of the storage tray slightly, making it a little unstable. The old pads will fit into the open cubes, however.
I got my first shipment today. I love the versatility! I'm so happy with the new storage. It's sturdy and easy to reconfigure over and over, which is perfect for me, as I constantly change how I want to store things. I definitely wouldn't put the old ink pads in them, but I've been slowly collecting all the new pads and finally finished getting them all this month.
They’re definitely cool - and expensive if you need a bunch. I have Organize More’s ink pad holders - not for SU since I don’t use SU inks - but they make them for SU too. You just don’t have the markers with the pads. They do have nice, compact marker towers though.
I like that they’re white, light weight and can hang or sit. I have stuff sitting on top of them. The hanging brackets are already attached and because they’re the zigzaggy type but long, if wall screws aren’t put in in exactly the right spot (left or right), the bracket will still sit on the screws.
I ordered and received the blenders storage, really like them, will order more when available. I have heard the old pads fit "snug" in the pad holders, and five of the old ink pads will stack in the open storage. I will keep my old tower until I invest in some of the new pads. I might be in the minority, but I don't care if the marker is stored by the ink pad. I do not own (nor want) an inkpad in every color, my markers are stored in clear acrylic boxes in a desk drawer.
