Spring Break is next week so we are heading out of town to visit family.
I have more stamps/scrapbooking stuff packed than I do clothing! 4 totes full of stampin stuff and 2 duffle bags for clothes. Priorities!!! Can't leave anything behind I might need it!
Am I the only crazy one or do yall travel with stamps?
I always bring my stamping & scrapbooking things with me on vacation. To me it is my way of relaxing. If we go to visit my SIL then I don't need to bring stuff with me because she has it all already and we just play with her things
You are not crazy!! I'm going on vacation by myself in August. I'm gonna go see my bro but I am going to stay in a hotel. I am dragging a TON of stuff with me! I'm gonna have stamp central set up in my room! I am so looking forward to several days of uninterrupted stamping!!
Have a great trip!!

Once or twice a year I get away for a weekend by myself to stamp. I love it, and I get to relax and have fun! Take your stamps and have a great time!!!

Our family enjoys camping. We try to go for a week each summer, and when we do I take a tote of scrapbooking along. Since we pretty much stay at one spot when we camp, I find time to get to it......more time than if we'd be home for the week!
I will be going on a business trip with a male co-worker. I think we will have our evenings free. I'd love to bring my stamps with me and stamp the night away but I think he'll really think I'm nutz. Oh well, I am proud of my creations!
Hope you enjoy your getaway. I can't wait for mine in 3 months (Yikes)!

My SIL and I just got back from a trip to Seattle to see my DD. Half of my suit case was filled with stampin' stuff (I am sure airport security loved that), and we bought more while there! My DD was very excited to beable to spend some time with me in our hotel room stamping away. We even bought a Space Needle stamp and made homemade postcards! What a blast!
What a great idea! I'm going skiing with my family (DH, DDx2) for spring break and since I can't ski, I was just planning to take a couple good books. Have been thinking about how much I'd like to stamp/scrapbook while I'm there, but didn't think I could easily pack things.
Maybe I'll start a new thread, "Which stamping supplies should I pack?" to see if there are suggestions about what to take (short of packing up the whole room!).

I am not the one to ask about that! I have almost everything packed!!! I am afraid I just might need it! I brought all my paper in the tote I store it in then I packed stamp pads (2 color famlies) 15 stamp sets and supplies...ie...mono, cutter, etc.......My DH just laughed while he packed the van last night. We are heading out in about an hour!!! Next time I check in I will be in Grand Prairie, Texas!
Location: VA...between the mountains and the ocean beach!

We take an "annual adult trip" with another couple and I must confess...I take a bunch of stampin stuff. I did figure out this time that if I took only about 4-5 sheets of each CS it cut down on a lot of space. I was able to pack it (tightly) in an expanding file with a handle. I took my "scrap shoebox" and actually used a lot out of it. I borrowed my mom's stampin spots so I was also able to take the 48 colors in a very small space. My biggest problem are stamp sets. I had a whole big tub of them and played with In Full Bloom most of the time! I made 29 cards! (not all IFB)
We went to visit our son for a month last fall (flying) and I took a whole suitcase full of stamping stuff plus one carry on that had my stamps in it. Had no trouble at customs. I wonder what woud happen if they actually went through the suitcases.
I always take my stamps wherever I go. If there is room for my husband's golf clubs there is certainly room for my stamps!! We're head to southern Utah at the end of March for spring break and I'm going to stamp the whole week with relatives. Can't wait!
My husband and I have a small RV trailer we like to go camping in. Whenever I know there will be down time when we're not actually out and about, I pack a rubbermaid container (about a foot deep) with something to work on. I take what I need in the way of tools, paper, stamps and ink for a couple of projects or to just play with something new. Made many a Christmas card in that trailer either in the rain or while watching movies on the 'puter in the evening. I must admit, though, that more times than not, the only thing that comes out of the box are the scissors to cut open a bag of salad or whatever!
