Default Stamping on balloons

Has anyone tried stamping on a balloon? I kind of thought if I stamped on a balloon with Staz On and then blew it up, I could have some cool Fishy Friends balloons for my son's birthday party. Or would the image just spread out and look weird? I suppose I could just buy some balloons and try it, but I thought I'd ask the experts first!

Any advice appreciated, but no rush - I've got till September!

Might you have an easier time (and a more predictable result) if you were to stamp on the balloons after they were inflated?

Default Wow!

Wow! That was quick! I just thought that I might get an enlarged image when the balloon was blown up and I could prepare them in advance of the party. Hey! If Keri tries it for me, it might send her into labour!

Hey Helen Here are the results... The image goes gray and is not very visible..I stamped black onto a light blue balloon! I then inflated it half way and stamped it and it worked better. When I blew it up the entire way it was a good size and looked black...so I would go out and get some balloons and try it...you may be pleased with it....only word of advice, take your time when trying to hold the half inflated balloon and stamping with the other hand...LOL!!!

Default Thanks

Thanks for trying that Keri - I take it the effort of blowing up the balloon didn't start your contractions, then? I will get round to having a go at this and will try your half-inflated idea. If the results are anything like half decent, I'll post them here.

Thanks again

Helen

What a neat idea! My dd's 11th is coming and our Girlfriends set would be great.

I don't want to imagine that scary clown on a balloon, do you?

I stamped on balloons for my daughters 16th birthday (June 25th!) and it turned out beautifully! I bought blue helium quality balloons and inflated them to the desired size, then stamped dragonflies (from Bunch O' Bugs set) with StazOn Ultramarine all over the balloon. It turned out great and everyone was really impressed! Sharon
