I found trying to stamp directly onto food frustrating to say the least. And lots of folks were trying it around Christmas with mixed results. So, I started my search at that time to ask the question "How does the cake shop put photos on cakes?". Well I figured it out. There is Icing paper! This specially formulated icing is made into cardstock consistency and put through a computer printer that uses food coloring. It is not nearly as fragile as I thought. It can be cut with scissors, put through a paper punch, stamped on with food coloring or written on with food coloring markers. Then I thought, its sturdy consistency would make my food seem "crunchy" in a strange way. This product must be placed onto a freshly iced cake or cookie and left to stand for about an hour. The fresh icing re-invigorates the paper and softens it, without making your stamped image "bleed" or spread. It is WAY cool like many photo products are!
I went through all of this search because I own

I just secured this product last week and made cookies to try it out. I will be "officially" selling it by the sheet mid-April. It comes in an 7" x 10" sheet and and 8" round for $2 a sheet. It also comes in sheets containing 2" & 3" diameter circles for cookies. For best results make your food coloring "stamp pad" out of felt placed on a small glass dish. Paper towels absorb too much of the coloring and don't leave enough for the stamp.
