Stamping Stores: Columbus OH and West Lafeyette, IN
We will be driving from Maryland to Minnesota and so I have been following the Madison / Milwauke / North Chicago thread -- but what about Ohio and Illinois -- specifically in Columbus and West Lafeyette where we will be staying overnight and would be easier for me to slip out and shop a bit.
What route are you taking through Ohio? I manage a wonderful little store (yes, I'm biased) in Smithville! It's about 2 hours north of Columbus, in Wayne County. We're about 5 miles north of US Route 30, on State Route 585.
Also, I don't know exactly where West Lafeyette is, but if it's close to Ft. Wayne, I visited a wonderful store there 2 weeks ago called Stamping Day and Night!

unfortunately those are too far north for me... we'll take 70W to Indianapolis and then 65 North to West Lafeyette. Maybe another trip...
There is a Archivers in the Easton area, Joann's, Michaels, Hobby Lobby and a few Cord Camera's have stamping stuff.

Oh! I'm driving to Columbus tomorrow to stay for the weekend with my daughter. I've been to the Joanns and Michaels...... don't really care for Archivers no matter where they are......but I think I'll plug Hobby Lobby into my GPS . I didn't think there was a HL in the Columbus area. Excellent.

If you do not mind going a bit south (40 min or so) off of 70W, check out Marco papers. They have EVERYTHING! Stamps, paper, nestabilities, embossing stuff, Twinkling H2O's, etc..... Distress inks, check out their website.....It is well worth your time!
In Columbus, there's a Hobby Lobby on Sawmill Rd on the north side of town, west of 71 Depending on where you stay, you can take 270 around from 70 to Sawmill. The advantage to this location is that there's also a Dick Blick's Art Supply store in the same plaza - - - right next to Starbuck's, so you can get a jolt to keep up your shopping mojo!

If you are on Sawmill, continue north to the shopping center at Sawmill and 750. There is a small scrapbook shop in there-?B&A Scraps? Not much in the way of stamps, but a nice selection of paper.....something different, anyways! This town is in serious need of a stamping store! :-)
When are you traveling? Here is another idea for the area- there is a big Stampaway convention in Cincinnate- 2 hours West of Columbus- if you are traveling Aug 7-8. Here is the link: http://www.stampawayusa.com/SAUSA/index.html
Judy-the only shop in Hilliard that I am aware of (besides JoAnn's and Mike's) is the Cord Camera store which has a fairly large scrapping dept. Its on Hilliard Rome Road...........

looks like fun! but a couple of days too late for me. liked a lot of the stamps they had for sale online, though. especially the one that said : "This card is handstamped... either I really like you or I have way too much time on my hands"
This is not stamping related, but when you're in West Lafayette get some cheese sticks with ranch dressing from Mad Mushroom!!! Do not get the pizza! And take a walk on Purdue's campus. Boiler up!

There is also a Hobby Lobby on Broad St. which is only a couple minutes off of 70, with a JoAnns just a few minutes away as well.

I may be making a trip to your store. What is the name of it?
