At the end of May my parents will visit my mother's family in Ponoka, Alberta, Canada. They'll visit Edmonton, Vancouver and probably Calgary. Could someone please tell me addresses from stampstores in one of these places? My parents want to buy some stamps for me over there and for me it's not easy to search for addresses.
Thanks a lot for answering, HannieH.
Try Scrapbooker's Paradise in Calgary: http://www.scrapbookersparadise.com/ (the website gives store locations and has online ordering so you can perhaps drop some hints with pictures!)
my favorite is Scribblers and SUch in Leduc, it is between Ponoka and Edmonton, Scrapbookers Paradise also has a store in Red Deer, not far from Ponoka, I think Lacombe does too.
I will try to round up some addy's and PM you, PM me if I forget.
When your parents roll through Edmonton they must stop in at Western. They have wall to wall stamps, row after row after row. They sell individual stamps as well as stamp sets (block & acrylic). Their internet address is [email protected] if you want to see what companies they carry.

Oh yeah I second this one - they have THOUSANDS of stamps - my jaw dropped when I was there and saw them all!!
And yeah you can go to the website and see what all they carry - it would prolly work if you found out exactly what you wanted then you could contact the store and tell them what you want and they could set it aside (or get it for you if they don't have it in stock) then all your parents would have to do is pick it up and pay for it!!!
Just a comment on the stamp stores in Calgary. Scrapbookers Paradise does not carry a lot of stamps, but Paper Pastimes only carries stamps and accessories. I would recommend Paper Pastimes if you are looking for stamps.

I agree the best place I have seen is Western Educational. Kathy Allen is the best, she will help you out. Actually, everyone working there are the best and really want to help you. And for sure they will save whatever stamps you need until your parents get there. They will also order anything in so check the website and email them with your order before your parents arrive. Good Luck and have fun choosing!!!
Kathy
I also agree - Western Educational is THE best place to buy stamps (other than my SU demo, of course) I took a friend there once and every corner we turned she'd say "there's ANOTHER row!?"
here's the store where i'm on the design team/class teacher.. they have the biggest selection of STAMPS of all of the stores i've seen in greater vancouver. tonnes of amuse, hero arts, autumn leaves, stampendous etc...
