I have alot of homemade cards that I keep for ideas. Anybody have any thoughts on how to keep them. I heard of a three ring binder but the inserts are not large enough for a card. What I would like to do is to make a card...store it some how...and then list who I gave that card to. So I want it to be easy access. That way I won't send the same one to the same person. Make sense? Any ideas would be very much appreciated.
Thanks!
Mary

I use photo boxes to store my cards and samples - they come with dividers that I list the category on - when I want to send a card to someone - I go through the box - if there is just one of the card I remake it and on the back of the 'sample' I write the recipients name........ I label the front of the boxes with the categories -
I have a notebook with page protectors that have four pockets the perfect size for an A2 card. Won't do the larger odd sized cards but its great for the average ones.
Thanks ladies. The card box is a good idea...and I am very interested in the page protector idea also. If anyone has more information on where to find them please post.
Have a great day!

I use page protectors in several binders like Leslie does above. I get mine from ebay. Here is a direct link to one of the items: Everythingbyhand page protectors.
They have excellent service, quick shipping and reasonable prices. I buy from her all the time.
I'm so glad someone had a source for them. My SU demo gave them to us as Christmas gifts and I bought her extras from her. I remember she said the source she had was difficult to work with and required a large purchase but I was going to suggest a group purchase once I got the info from DJ and checked it out.
Now it looks like we can find them elsewhere.
Either way, I do love the scrapbook pages for cards, they are a scrapbook in themselves.
I store my sample cards in a 3 ring binder too. I bought plastic page protectors from Century Photo Co. Their address is centuryphoto.com There are 4 to a page and are the ones that hold polaroid pictures. This fits A2 cards.
They don't come in A2 size but 5 x 7 would fit any sized card and then you could use a book ring in the hang hole to hold them together and then flip through them. You can get some big book rings and have as many as would fit on there. You could also put a label on the back with the info of to whomever you sent it.
Good luck I hope you find something that works for you!
I found these awesome lined drawers at Office Max awhile back. I made dividers for categories (birthday, get well, sympathy, etc). I can fit about 100 cards in each drawer. They look great, too!
As far as being able to flip through, it's pretty convenient. I tend to come online and look in my gallery or my blog if I am looking for a specific card, though If I didn't upload it to either my blog or my gallery, I wouldn't know what I made!

That's where my demo got mine. Glad you posted it.

A great way to store you cards, Is to use a Photo Storage box. The ones you can find at most Craft stores. for about $3. $4.
They have a lid and you can keep them covered so they don't get dusty.
Or leave them open so you can see just what you have. I also use the photo labels that come inside the boxes. For marking what type of cards.
If you don't want to spend the money then use a Shoe Box. and make your own labels.
Heck you can even cover the shoe box with DP and make your own look.
I also take photos. Sometimes I only make one of something especially at Stamp Club. Seemed a shame not to pass it along to someone and photos save space.
Sure are some great ideas. I knew I picked the right place to ask such a question. Thanks all! Sounds like a little of this and a little of that and I will be nicely organized.
Hugs all!
