How does everyone store there Stickles? I have read to store them upside down. Can anyone tell me where to get a case that will hold them upside down? Any suggestions? thanks again
I saw a clever solution on someone's blog. Sorry, I would post a link, but I can't remember where i saw it. The person attached a sheet of metal to the under side of a shelf in her craft room. She glued small magnets to the bottoms of the Stickles bottles and stuck them to the metal plate -- genius!
I'm reorganizing my craft space and ran across this article on Stickle storage. I'm headed to Hobby Lobby tomorrow to purchase some velcro and try it out!
I store mine in the clear boxes that SU backgroud stamps come in. I am not in that room now to take a peek, but I think that in each box, you can fit a double row of about eight bottles, for a total of 16 in each case. I know that I have two full boxes and three in a third with all of my glitter. I rarely have a problem with getting the stickles to flow and I have a handy dandy corsage pin on my work table that solves that problem every time. They are not stored upside down, but like wine on its side in a wine rack, keeping the corks moist, the tips of the stickles bottles are always in contact with the product, so maybe that cuts down on any problems with flow. I know that have them all corraled in a closed box that is labeled helps me.
I've never heard of storing them upside down either. I store mine in the Tim Holtz tin that was meant to store alcohol inks. The stickles bottles are the same size as the alcohol ink containers.

This is exactly what I do(Mine are on the inside of a cabinet door, not on the wall), except mine aren't upside down, hadn't occured to me. Is there an advantage to storing them that way?
Pamela
P.S. I also store my ink refills and the containers of MS glitter the same way. It is so much easier than searching in a bin or box to find the right refill.

While I have heard of storing them upside down and seen all of the neat ideas, I keep mine in my Stampin' Things unit on their side. Works perfect for me, and I love having them with my Copics and ink!

Ok I cant think of who it was, and I looked in my faves cuz I thought I had kept it. Thought what a great idea
But she found like a lazy susan of sorts at Lowes or Home Depot.. just a little like table top one that would possibly hold spices perhaps? Not quite sure, but she took a round Styro foam piece, can find at Michaels (where I got mine int he floral dept) or Joannes.. and decorated with a piece of ribbon if you want that around the edge and then made little holes on the foam to hold the bottles of Stickles upside down.
What an inexpensive way to store them who woulda thunk it Styro foam!
I dont have the luxury of storing them on a wall or door in my room so the foam works for me on top of the cubes behind me.
What I have done with the stickles is velcro them in a clear shoebox. They are stored upside down that is the velcro is on the bottom of the box so when they are on the shelf the cover is on the bottom. When I want the color I want I can turn over the box the usual way and I can see the colors clearly. So far they have held securely in the box. I had to do it that way because my kittens like to play with small containers and I dont want them to bit into them. I am planning to do my ink refills that way too.
I just pack them upside down in a repurposed rectangular plastic container. If they are stored upside down, they are ready to use more quickly, as the good stuff is all down in the tip, ready to flow. Since the container is full they hold each other in position, even when I pull one out. I keep all mono adhesive, stickles and liquid pearls upside down to be at the ready for use.
