I am a 1 cattie vote. With the money SU saves in distribution, they can either do more minis (although 4 is plenty) or offer incentives... i bet they were at least a little surprised at the response to the free shipping which i heard was overwhelming. Well, they could offer free shipping once or twice a year if the order is over $x.xx. For those of you who get "bored" with only one cattie, they could do so much more with the website to garner your attention. I would be curious if they really released more stamp sets or whether they spread them out a little differently than before. They could have website releases...that would be exciting. Anyway, I am definitely a one cattie vote plus other incentives if they need to keep the customers attention.

I prefer one catty also, with the minis. I just buy more that way. I didn't want to spend yet more money on yet another catty, so I didn't buy it. I might end up buying the catty anyway, but I really prefer the one big catty a year. It's just easier.

I was a demonstrator for 5 years (1996-2001) and an avid SU buyer/user. I PREFER only one. JMO

I vote for one catty a year and 4 minis, I belong to a stampin club and our demonstrator gives us the catty, this must be expensive for her when it is not necessary as one catty would do. Also this creates less paper for our landfills.'

I was thinking today how I wish there was only one catty. I do have an idea -- sorry if this has been said already -- what if, in one catty there were some pages of stamps and other products for viewing, but were not available until later in the year? Except that the demos would be able to purchase them early to show the rest of us how great they are. I find it takes me awhile to warm up to new sets. So, with 2 cattys, I'm just getting used to the idea of a set, and then it is gone!

I prefer one. For a person on a budget, I never have enough money to purchase everything I want before the catalog changes.

I sometimes think that maybe the two a year thing is doing opposite f what was intended...I often think to myself to hold off on buying and see if there is anything that I want more in the next catty....I have been thinking that since October and it did make a difference in the amount of money I shelled out the last two months!! I am all for one catty a year!!

I agree with most everyone else.... would prefer one main paper catalogue and several minis with seasonal/special stamps and accessories.

True, Jimmi, but the companies that we are familiar with here on SCS are SMALL & NEW compared to SU! They may only have 10-50 stamp sets, so a few new ones a month is almost a must. SU! has hundreds of sets.

I quit SU! after seven pretty good years when they went to the new system. I thought they were almost deliberately trying to drive hobby demos ($500-1000 every month for 7 years for me) out of business.

I support SCS companies and a few others I learned about here now. I can't say how much pleasure it gives me to spend with these small companies! I LOVE how many choices we have these days!

I voted for one catty, too! I felt like SU was being too pushy with the 2 cattys, seemed like they just wanted another 10 bucks out of me. I started holding off on buying anything that was on my 'maybe' list because I knew a new catty would be coming out and then I would have another 'gotta have it' list in 6 months. Also, I was able to spread the purchases throughout the year which made it easier on the budget. I really do like their papers and inks but feel like the stamp sets are starting to look all of the same or close enough that I can use one I already have just as well as one of the new ones.

I agree they should stop already with the dormant list, it is 'out of sight, outof mind' for me! Either have it in the catalog or don't have it at all.

Another thing I find really frustrating is the hostess sets. I have taped out all of my friends and can't get a party to the level I need to get one of the level 3 sets. I really wish they would sell them, too. I think they are losing money on these things because I go online & look for used sets to buy since I can't get them from SU. (Sorry to get off of the subject.)

I wouldn't mind if the two catty's were both really great and wow'd me like the one a year. Maybe it's an anticipation thing? Besides, I really miss the minis, they were fun. The preview catalogs don't make sense to me.

My demo said the new system is difficult to keep up with, a lot of buying new catty's and not necessarily more income. Also, I agree, sometimes you like the hostess in one, but your turn for a hostess club comes later.

And, what is with no recipes in the back of the catty? That is the most upsetting thing of all. I love the recipes and really miss them. Would like to see that back, please...

Is it true that SU is going back to one per year? I saw something on Facebook, not that that is the most relliable of sources...

For some reason I can't vote..sniff...

I love the two catties!!!! I'm worried that folks will get too bored with only one since so many online companies can roll out fresh stuff every month.

Well, this original thread started way back in early Jan, so the poll has probably timed out...start a new one now that SU heard the majority and went back to one a year! Of course, I'm sure that decision came out of purely financial concerns as two a year is not only more expensive for us but for them as well. But still...;)
