Are you coming up with a creative way to store ribbon? If you are, please share as I'm really tired of the drawer that mine is in!
I know some friends of mine use a "paper towel" holder....use the sides and then just buy a longer piece of doll rod....works great, if you don't have a cat to "play and pull" on them all....LOL
my upline and I were trying to design something that fit our needs. We don't have everything...yet We were trying to make sure we considered future purchases in our planning.

Let us know what you come up with. I love new organizing ideas.
I have my organdy on a spool rack that you can get at craft stores. There are two sizes, one is for spools of thread which I use for my wheels (put one on every other peg, holds 30 wheels) and one is for surger thread which works great for the organdy (also use every other peg). I mount these on my wall.
Another Splitcoaster mentioned she used the Slacks Hangers for her ribbons. She said they're rubber coated, but she just scraped the rubber off. I got this one from Walmart, but it didn't have the rubber, so it was just put it up and use it! I had an over the door hook, which is what it's hanging on. I've got my Wide Organdy's on the top rack, then the Metallic, next is the Narrow Organdy, and last is the Grosgrain. I don't have them all (yet) but I'm working on it!!

My DH has a great woodworking shop, and he makes my storage items. It's great! His ribbon holders are pretty popular -- a number of my crafty friends like them so much they've bought one from him. They're very different from everything I've seen on the market. The ribbon spools aren't on a spindle, so you can grab one and go! Plus, it's got built-in measurements. Not pushing a sale -- I really just want to show off my nifty storage solution! (But if you fall in love with it and have to have one for yourself, pls PM me.)
