Okay now that the summer mini is almost gone tell me what sets we all need to get before their gone. I like a lot from this mini but the one I would say you MUST get is Shore Thing!
I went 'round & 'round on this yesterday (my monthly club order was due!). And, I decided I had to have The Wheel Thing (I'd already ordered Bud Basics and one of the matching wheels). I think the set is so versatile and I'll probably hang on to it for years since it's not something that will go 'out of style'...
What's that? I'm starting to sound like I'm rationalizing my stamp purchases! Do you think that's necessary!
I am going round and round about bud basics and polka dot posies, but if I just hold off a few days then I don't have the opportunity to order anymore and it will be a closed issue . . . and I won't regret it, right?

Actually, me too. But, I have convinced myself that for right now, I really don't need it - will be busy soon with Christmas cards. And, then, I'm sorta hoping that there will be something really cool in the next spring mini(even though that's eons away) - kinda crazy thinking, right? But, I'm trying to be a good girl and not spend so much money! It was the one set that I thought was not so cute when the mini first came out, and now it's my favorite!
Bud Basics is my favorite set from the summer mini. And I have sold quite a few sets of that one over the last couple of months. The Basics Outline wheel is great also.
I don't know why but, that boat set with the sailboats, submarines and what not is calling to me. I keep trying to resist. It is just so darned cute. I am trying to do what Kristina is doing and keep holding off, then it will be done and temptation can't call, deeply hoping remorse doesn't set in...lol.
I just called my demo, I think I would like the nature's prints. Reminds me of the fossil paper from Club Scrap and would fit my very boyish scrapbooking (I only have a son).
I just got Shore Thing on my club order. It's just different from anything I have and I couldn't resist those cute little birds!
But trust me, it was killin' me to not get anything else! I'm sure I'll be kicking myself later!
I had such a hard time deciding what to order. I kept putting it off because I just couldn't make up my mind. Well, I finally ordered on Monday - I am getting Polka-Dot Posies and Edgy Eloquence.
I also wanted The Wheel Thing, Nature Prints and Shore Thing very badly, but I had to restrain myself. I may be looking for those on the BST forum of Ebay at a later time. I'm so glad there's not much I want from the Holiday Mini. I need to save up for everything I want in the big catty!

Sheltering Tree is very versatile. I like to use the "Friendship" word from the verse alone (just mask off the rest of it). With the hearts it makes a quick engagement or wedding card too. And of course you MUST get Shore Thing .... those birds are too cute! My advice would be to check the Gallery for the sets that are tempting you to see what's been done with them - should help you decide.

I had already gotten Bud Basics, Basics Outline and Buds jumbo wheels, The Wheel Thing, Pattern of Friendship and Nature Prints awhile ago. I just put in an order to make sure I got Shore Thing because I know I'd kick myself if I didn't get it while I had the chance.
I really like the alphabet (can't think of the name off the top of my head), but am still pondering whether I really "need" it. I still haven't broken down to buy letterpress alpha from the main catty, even though I'm positive I NEED that!!!

I ditto the Edgy Eloquence. I also like the fact that the font is kind of funky and different! It makes it easy to match up to just about any alphabet.

Polka-Dot Posies, Bud Basics/with jumbo wheel and the Cowboy Kid (for my new grandson).
I could have bought more. I also loved Shore Thing with the flip flop wheel.
Sometimes I am just able to rain myself in and it just amazes me!
I am going to abstain from the Winter mini. Control!

I think that I could have bought everything in the Summer mini if funds would have allowed. I am really glad that I got Shore Thing (I am a sucker for crab s), Nature Prints (reminded me of my honeymoon and is great for poppin' pastels), Flip Flop Wheel (who doesn't like flip flops - I'm sure we all have several pairs!) and Cowboy Kid - (just plain cute).
I'm still debating whether or not to get The Wheel Thing - such a great price for a really cute set and I love that you can put things in the shopping cart!
Bud Basics is a must for everyone!! It is so easy to use and the one set I reach for most! I'm praying it will make next catty, but everyhting else is a must too!! Just too darn cute!!
I already have plenty from the Summer Mini, I love it!! But I think I need to buy the one with the laundry. I love to send cards that make people smile! It will be on my next order!
