I really enjoy finding out what SU's item of the week will be each monday. I haven't ordered anything because so far I own everything that has been on sale. But I hope it will continue. Does anyone know if it has been successful and will it continue?
If you go to the SU website on the home page there is a Summer Fun link. At the top of the Summer fun ad there is a blue banner that says check out the deal of the week. When you click on it you will see the item and price. This is the higher direct from SU price though. If you log in with a demo you will get the better sale price. This week it is the vanilla Hodge Podge Hardware regular price $29.95 sale price $18.99. The sale is good through Sunday and then the next special will be announced monday morning.
My current demo has never mentioned this! I guess that's one more reason to justify that I'm switching to someone new.

I have ordered the jeweled brads, the vanilla hodgepodge and the heart to heart punch. I think it's awesome but don't understand why they don't offer the entire grouping, i.e. all of the jeweled brads and both hodgepodge sets. I would have ordered them all!! HAHAHHAH! but it really terrifici and I'm sure boosted sales considerably.
According to the info that SU provided demonstrators yesterday, the Deal of the week promotion has been hugely successful. While I doubt that it will continue after this week, I don't doubt that this concept may be revived at some point in the future.
As for the products selected, it sounded like SU choose items that they had a bit of an overstock issue with so that they could reduce their inventory.
I thought it was kinda cool until I realized this week that our heart punch at "over 30% off!" is still (very slightly) more expensive than Americans pay for their punches normally. :(
