Default TAC Fall Supplement

I've had people asking about the TAC Fall Supplement. It's here!!!

http://www.theangelcompany.net/fallsupplement.html

Go look for yourself. I'll be the first to admit that a few of the sets certainly aren't my style (in fact, they kinda freaked me out!), but another Angel just laughed and said she loved them! Then there are sets that I MUST HAVE!!! I guess the FS has something for everyone. ;-)

Enjoy!

I agree, those retro ones are kind of freaky. But the rest look so great. I love the clean look and I really like Cheery Christmas...to cute.
Thanks for posting the supplement.

Thanks for the heads up Kay! I was checking all day and had given up...It's funny, I love the retro halloween sets but it doesn't work for me on the Christmas sets. Still, hopefully there is something for everyone's tastes!

Default TAC Fall Supplement

Thanks for letting us all know it is finally out ...but what were they thinking ???????????? There is maybe 2 sets I could see using But hate to spend the money when I already have snowflakes (HOW MANY CAN YOU USE???) And the swirls are always nice but now all of us TAC/CTMH/SU have swirls coming out our ears....
I for one am very disappointed and the thanksgiving set???? They are down right spooky! Where is all the elegance???? Waaaa.... oh well maybe they'll grow on me!

I agree with ya on the Thanksgiving set - way scarrier than the Retro ones for me! Otherwise, I have quite a few that I must have!

I love the new snowflakes!!! I'm tired of my old standbys that I've had for years now--AND a set of really nice snowflakes are hard to find. I like the Ornamental Joy too. ;-) I thought the retro ones were freaky. So did my 9-yr-old DD. There were some nice sets in there. Gotta admit, though--something for everyone! LOL

I was grateful to see that finally we are doing 6-pointed snowflakes, instead of the incorrect 8-pointed ones in our other snowflake sets (with a few 6-pointers, but why any 8-pointers at all when it is so WRONG...). Just a little pet peeve of mine that is finally corrected, and in a lovely way! That set and the snowman tag set are the two I'll be getting. I wonder why so many Halloween sets--does anyone actually make Halloween cards? Maybe for scrapbook pages, I guess. I wonder if the artist who did the former "Tim Burton"-style sets is now doing these retro ones? I think they are kinda cute, though I have no use for them.

Thanks for giving the heads-up on the supplement, OP! I'd actually FORGOTTEN it was coming...life is too busy. It's always fun to see new stuff! I am really happy that this supplement is stamps-oriented, as opposed to past supplements that had more new paper sets and embellishments. I'm sure more sets will grow on me once I have the paper copy in hand and can look them over better, too.

I agree. TAC has taken a huge step backward. I'm letting my demoship lapse...these sets are just bad.....I'm embarrassed for TAC!

I actually loved the Birdy Christmas one. Very cute. I would love to see some more realistic or elegant ones though. I don't celebrate Halloween though so that kinda knocks out a big chunk of them. Oh well I already have a million sets I want out of the catty anyway so I was glad I only "needed" one or two sets. How does anyone ever make money in this biz?

I don't think I'll be buying any- just because my budget is really limited and I don't "need" them.

Here is how the sets fall for me:
I love: Spooktacular, count your blessings,
I really like: cheerychristmas, christmaschecklist
I like: trick or treaters, spookyswirls, ornamental snowflakes, trendyholidaytags, ornamentaljoy, birdyholiday,
I think they are okay but not my style: retrohalloween, jollyjack-o-lanterns, wintertags, ornamentaljoy,
I am scared by: retrotreaters, gigglygoblins, retroreindeer
I am truly frightened by: thefirstthanksgiving, retrochristmas

So overall, I'd say it's positive. But I've never had to use the "frightened by" category before! Then again, someone else on the thread really disliked the thanksgiving set, and I LOVE it. So something for everyone? Who's getting retro christmas?

Wow! It really is "to each her own." It's unfortunate you're so unhappy with the selection. I, on the other hand, like it more than most supplements TAC has offered. My biggest problem is paring down the sets to a reasonable order!

Isn't it funny how different we all are? ;) I was actually disappointed that there was no new paper or embellishments - I do send Halloween cards and love Spookatacular (Spooky Swirls is growing on me too) and I love the Trendy Tags,
I'm not crazy about any of the retro sets, but I commend TAC for trying a different style - and where better to try it than in a supplement rather than the big catalog?

I've only been with the company a short time, but in that time, nothing they have done has disappointed me. On the contrary, I've been impressed with the specials they are running and the efforts they are making to improve.

JMHO!!

I might just order retro christmas to see if I can make someone, somewhere love it! I'd like to do something with that set, but other than scare small children, I haven't figured out what yet. lol

So it's a halloween set?

Maybe you could use it to make invitations to come see The Nightmare Before Christmas.

Me me me! *waving hand* I love Halloween and make tons of Halloween cards (more than Christmas ones!). But I haven't made any Halloween scrapbook pages (no photos).

I know I am a weird one. I like the "retro" sets - they made me giggle. I love the creepy toothy grins on the Thanksgiving one and one of the Halloween ones. The creepiness is what makes them so charming to me!

But I won't be getting any of them. I already blew Sept's AND Oct's stamp budget (yikes).

LOL, I agree with the others, there is something for everyone.
Two things I LOVE about this supplement:
1- it is Holiday related- Thank goodness there are no flowers and such. But true Fall/Winter sets.
2- Nothing here looks like something we already have. The swirly one is even different from the Big catty.

I am not into Halloween either, but I know that Spooktacular will show & sell very well.
I feel like a PP, maybe I should get a couple that are not my style to see what I can do with them LOL (Maybe, I need to live a little. LOL)

Too bad your October budget is gone!! October is DOUBLE hostess benefits for TAC. And you get double GWP stamps too.

That is some nice supplements there and I am not even a TAC costumer (yet). Might have to keep an eye on things next time I have money to spend. Just ordered from SU, so I'll have to wait for awhile.

I agree with you on the What were they thinking... Retro is nice, But I think these Halloween ones are kinda scary looking.

But the other ones are super! Love the Christmas ones alot!!

GWP is Gift with purchase anytime your purchase is $30.00 or more you get to choose a GWP stamp, They are in the front of the catalog.

So if you were to spend $60.00 you would get 2 free stamps. They are small stamps.

Default Loving the Retro sets!

I am clearly in the minority here - but I am absolutely *LOVING* the Retro sets! Both Retro Christmas and Retro Treaters remind me of The Nightmare Before Christmas, Beetlejuice, and The Corpse Bride (Tim Burton flicks.) I can just see doing them all in really bright, whimsical, nonsensical colors. I think they're pretty unique and not at all "cutesey" like so many other Halloween stamps out there. And I totally see The Boyz enjoying these stamps. They just picked out a half-dozen A*Muse stamps the other day at the LSS - a bat, a poison bottle with skull & crossbones. Stuff like that. So I think these will be *awesome* for my needs since they're not all girly and cutesey.

I've got my order all set up for 10/01...!! ~ K
