I never thought about using the stamps with those colors! The movies you mentioned are my fav. Maybe I will have to go take another look at them. Thanks for the different point of view.

Probably shouldn't say this - but as soon as I saw that First Thanksgiving set..... the movie Nightmare Before Chriatmas popped into my head. Sigh... I guess I was just hoping for more elegant.

Question Quickie Question for any TAC demo

If I wanted to place a $100 personal order, would I also get the Hostess Benefits, or is this reserved for only actual parties?

You know I went back and looked at the First Thanksgiving again. I could really be in love with that set if the "people" weren't in there. They kinda look like they put a piece of that corn in their mouth and smiled. I should stop looking. Now I want three of those sets. Can you say credit card. Just joking. I'm just gonna have to stir up more business and earn money to get them. Talk about motivation.

I know most angels will gladly let you do a catalog party. Even if it's only a party of one!! You have to place the order personally with them though and not on their website. I'm doing this for a couple of my gals.:-D

Let me know if you need any more info, Tara

If you place your order through an Angel you can get the Hostess bennies. (If the order is placed on an E-Commerce site it will not.)

Default Another Reminder.

It took me a while to place it - and it shouldn't have!

That First Thanksgiving set reminds me of "James and the Giant Peach!"

Like I said...shouldn't have taken me so long - it's another Tim Burton Flick! ~ K

I showed a friend the FS the other day online, and she immediately loved the retro sets, and she thought of the new Rock Star papers by DCWV to use, and all those other cool funky papers they have been putting out recently.

I have some of the DCWV papers she spoke of....I just may have her send me some images to play with if she orders those sets! LOL

Quick question for any demos-in-the-know - are all the sets shown at 75% of actual size like in the regular catalog? I know some of the sets are shown with the "size it" graphic, so I'm assuming this is the case.

Hi Cheryl,

Yes, you're right - they are shown at 75%. I think the "size it" graphic is kind of hard to see in the online version - good eyes!

I think the creepy elves and reindeer will look great with the Merry Wishes Soar with It collection ...however...I don't have it yet..and since it will be a special in Nov....I can see those two co-ordinating beautifully can't you?

If someone signs up in October do they get to choose the $50 worth of stamps or are they chosen for them? If they get to choose where do they put them on the demo application?

For the $50 free stamps, they just send along another sheet of paper with their application indicating which stamps they want. And it is the T-coded stamps that they can select.

Hope that helps

The first thanksgiving set....it reminds me of those types of images when they are in say...felt or material and stitched onto a blanket or sweater...I am not sure of what the stitch is called (I sew oonly on paper, hehe and half the time without thread... giggle)...but when I look at them this way they aren't so scary...

I did the retro Christmas and Reindeer for the supplement. I have to admit, when I got the box and took a peek at those stamps I couldn't stop laughing! I said what in the world are they thinking?!? I thought maybe it was a joke cuz it was my first time designing for TAC...it wasn't a joke and now after working with the sets I just love them! They are so fun to color, easy too. Anything goes. I love the eyes and the circle pattern on some of the pieces in the set cuz they do look like starlight mints. I color them just that way. The sets still make me giggle, but they don't creep me out. They are FUN, give 'em a try. I dare you! ;) wink, wink

Risa- the samples are fantastic (all the samples always are! I'm amazed at the talent of the angels who do those)- but the sets.... mmmmm I'll still say I'm a bit frightened. However, I've heard from plenty of people now who like them, so TAC must have known what they were doing. Something for everybody!

I think I am going insane roflol. I could swear that I posted on this thread yesterday and now I can't find it. Oh man......I'm either insane or blind. Anyway, I have gone back over the flyer. I do like the first thanksgiving, a little weird but I like everything but the pilgrims. Ornamental snowflakes, very pretty, winter tags, very nice, ornamental joy and birdy holiday are nice, but I can live without them. I have to have the reindeer! The elves, not so much, but I love the reindeer. And I agree that they are very Tim Burton-esque.

Thumbs up

After looking at the Fall Supplement I have changed my mind about some of the stamp set's.

I'm really not into Halloween as much as I use to be, But I really like the following Stamp set.

Spooktacular T-2807

Trick or Treaters T-2795

And I do like the Thanksgiving set called

Count your Blessing. T-2790

Christmas or Winter Stamps

Winter Tags T-2799

Trendy Holiday Tags T-2792

Ornamentail Joy T-2798

Birdy Holiday T-2793

And only one Retro stamp set for me.

This one:

Retro Reindeer T-2787

Ya just have to look at the Fall Supplement in your hands.

And see them in a different light sorta speaks.

Question Is there an October Stamp of the Month?

Need help from one of you lovely Angels. I have been checking out the site, but cannot seem to find an image of the October SOTM, I only see September. Does this mean that you do not have a new one for September? I'm sorry to say that I have emailed my Angel, but she has not gotten back to me.

Thanks for any info you can send my way!
