Today's the 14th, and that means we'll be unveiling a new Dirty Dozen gallery at midnight tonight. Are you excited? I know the DD girls are!
Y'all know that we do a new theme every month, and I'm wondering, would you like to help us come up with some? Post your ideas for future galleries and I'll sweeten the deal by drawing names from all entries tomorrow night. We'll send three of you some Splitcoast stuff just for telling us what you'd like to see!
I know I am excited!!! I am always excited to see who gets dirty. It's like Christmas on the 15th of every month, too.
I like the idea of a "Look Back"... retro images and theme. I also like the idea of using images in ways they weren't intended (i.e.... someone once used an ice cream scoop to make a bra).
I'll be sitting here at midnight waiting for the curtain to be pulled up!! Anyone have any guesses on who the new girls will be??
Location: In a van down by the river..the Minnesota river in Le Sueur, MN

I havent been around since the conception of DD so I am not sure whats already been done but a couple ideas, are maybe the flavors of ice cream or eras (such as victorian, art deco etc...), favorite board games, or exotic locations ( rain forest, desert, etc.)
Cant wait to see what new themes are chosen!! happy valentines day!
How about
**All clean and simple cards? one layer?
**Maybe all with white, black, or cream card bases?
** Maybe the DD girls could case cards from the galleries of non DD girls?
** Cards or projects showing unique ways to use ribbon?
Looking forward to tonight's gallery! How about a "Yellow polka dot bikini" theme for summer? You could use polka dots, shades of yellow, swimwear, or beach or pool related stuff?
I know this is a trendy phrase right now, but how about Going Green. Obviously they could use green as a focal color. Also make projects using recycled items. Use nature inspired images, etc.
I always look forward to all of the Dirty Creations. I am glad the 15th is on the weekend. I can come home from church grab a cup of joe and browse all of the amazing creations in the DD gallery.
I would LOVE to see the humorous side of our Dirty Girls....everything from funny, punny, twisted, and sarcastic!!! These kinds of cards are usually well recieved here and I would love to see just how creative our elite team could get!!!
Haven't been following the DD for longer than a year so don't really know what's been covered. How about making card shapes in anything but a square or rectangle? Or maybe a 'Wrap it Up' theme that shows fave ways to make bag toppers, decorate gift boxes, etc.

Yea! One day until the February DD gallery is open. I always mark the 15th on my calendar.
In July of 04, when I joined, the theme was simply tag art and
I still revisit that gallery once in awhile for inspiration when making tags. I would love to see this theme and what could be done with tags after five years and many new products and stamps later. Thanks for asking!
Oh, another one I thought of (I can't remember if you've done this one) would be about your home state or country. State bird, flower, colors of the flag, things it's famous for, etc.
Use different techniques of making flowers, 3-D objects, card with a bouquet for different occasions-anniversary, Mother's Day, wedding, sympathy, Valentine's Day, May Day basket, dandelions from a child
Bouquet definition:an arrangement of flowers that is usually given as a present
Second idea:
Shower:
Bridal, Wedding, Baby, Housewarming, Rain, Bath
Bath (shower) could be a card all its own. Shower stall, curtain, soap, cap, towel, locker room,

It's been mentioned already, but the recyled theme would be interesting.
Revisiting an old card now that we have more materials - it would probably be a sort of Less and More ;D.
One layer cards. Don't get me wrong, I like the fancy stuff; but one layer isn't easy to carry off.
I'm a technique lover, so a focus on a technique. But not one requiring unusual stuff, so that most people could try it out. It's always interesting to see how something can be used in different ways...
I like these that have already been mentioned too - ATCs and a focus on member companies.
There was a wonderful WT challenge to use (food) stuff from the ktichen, I got totally carried away with that one and there were some amazing inspired cards that week.
I like Jeanne's idea of bringing back a past girl, but you could also have the current girls go back and redo projects from the past DD galleries. Like Then & Now instead of Less and More.
If you do a whole month of CAS, I swear I will be mad at you for the whole month! I know that it will be very hard on you to know that Carla over here in the Oklahoma Panhandle is mad, so please don't!!! Go abundance! I'm all for excess! Pile it on! Why be moderate?
Great ideas so far.
-How about using stamps for an image other than they are intended....eg- the bottom of a dress could look like a flower vase............
-Vacation destinations (beaches, skiing, etc.......)
-cards made all in one color.... or color family......
pick one or two techniques from the resources pages and make cards using that/those techniques
-cards using metal items from around the house......
-inchies, bookmarks or moo cards- and ATC's too- this would be a great one!
-cards made with punches/punches elements as the focal point.......

I *heart* this idea (shocking, I know!) Purty please Jenn!
I'm always looking for invitation and announcement ideas, so I'd love to see those! Invitations for any/all kinds of parties, announcements, save-the-dates, stuff like that.
1. using favorite TV shows/movies as inspiration
2. drawing inspiration from favorite travel photos
3. drawing inspiration from an etsy project
4. redoing a past card/project
5. a thank you to a favorite teacher
